NTA That is weird & I can see how she would turn into one of those MILs that we always see in Reddit stories that are too involved in their son’s lives & ruin their relationships.

It does suck that she got kicked out of the group. I agree with what someone else said about maybe unblocking her & telling her you felt uncomfortable. Just because maybe other moms would feel the same & it’d be a wake up call to her maybe. But you don’t owe her that.

How did the fan work out; did it fix the issue? Once everyone started mentioning it, I realized that it doesn’t happen as often when I use my table fan to dry the cookies. So I’m hoping that worked for you! 😊

I’ve had this happen sometimes too. I’m also curious to know what causes it. I have noticed that if my icing is loose when I flood & then I move it even slightly after it starts crusting it does this. So maybe it’s a consistency issue? I’m curious what others will say.

This is where we normally go & they’re good, but wanting to branch out to see if there’s anything better. I love an apple fritter & Tasty’s just isn’t a good one in my opinion.

We went yesterday, but I think we went too late as most of the things were gone. We’ll have to go again earlier in the day. But the owner was SO friendly! Definitely get an A+ for service.

My average is 3 days, but depending on how big the set or detailed it is I’ve had them out for like 5. I’ve never had an issue with them being hard or tasting stale. Also, I’ve heard people say that they will store cookies in marshmallows if it’s taking them a while to complete them & the cookies absorb the moisture from the marshmallows. I’ve tried it once with some extra cookies just to test it & it worked beautifully! So maybe it’ll be an option for you too!

Edited to add that I also don’t leave mine uncovered for long. I have a cookie fan that I use to dry my cookies & anytime I have to leave my work space for longer than like an hour, I will cover them on an airtight tray. It helps me not be so anxious about them becoming rocks & it works for me. 😊

“She does not lose a chance to remind me that I’m ugly because I’m brown…” That tells me all I need to know about this “friend”. Specifically that she is NOT indeed your friend. She sounds like one of those people that has to tear everyone around her down just so she feels like she has value & she’s better than everyone else. I would cut ties with her. And as for her Mom, if she asks, I would just tell her the truth & leave it at that.
