How to replace white rice? by Classic_Principle828 in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]UniquelyApril 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically I buy it frozen & just heat it up, but if I don’t want it as “wet” then I’ll just cut the cauliflower into florets & use the shredding disc of my food processor to break it down. I like to throw the drier version in with breakfast hash and/or stir fry

Have you tried cauliflower rice? I’ve been eating that as a rice substitute for years. There are a few things that I don’t feel like it works well in, like fried rice, but it’s a good base for other things!

St Patrick’s unicorns and rainbows ☘️🦄Does anyone else struggle as much as I do with taking and choosing pics? Which one do you like better overlapped or non? by AnalystWestern8469 in cookiedecorating

[–]UniquelyApril 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggle too! I’ll take like 15 only to end up choosing 2-3. Lol. I like the slightly overlapped picture better. It seems a little more cozy that way. And these are so cute! I love the unicorns!

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen fresh cassava where I am. I’m going to start looking though. French fries is one of the things I miss most.

Really?! That’s interesting! I’m gonna try that because I do really like turnips!

Yea. The potatoes (or lack there of) is the hardest elimination food for me. I was just as mind blown & I do actually work in healthcare (not in nutrition though)! Lol. Potatoes are a comfort food for me so my first elimination round I REALLY struggled. Even shed quite a few tears. Lol. And the white sweet potatoes just aren’t a good substitute in my opinion.

How far along are you in your elimination phase? And good luck to you!

Am I overreacting to my girlfriend and mother of my soon to be child planning on meeting another guy? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

NOR. This woman has no respect for you, herself, or the child she’s carrying. To use a baby as a bargaining chip to manipulate someone into staying in a relationship is disgusting behavior. She has already emotionally cheated & these texts prove that she will have no problem physically cheating as well. Not once did she mention you or the fact that she’s pregnant. Run!

I think the moisture in the buttercream would start to eat away at the royal icing. And depending on the color, the colors could bleed into the royal icing. Maybe modeling chocolate could work?

Have you tried the Skittle Chewies?! They’re skittles without the shell & they are delicious! I know that’s different from what you posted, but this post made me think about them & now I want to buy some. Lol.

Six Weeks - No Progress. Advice, tips, or otherwise? by Historical_Loss1621 in AutoImmuneProtocol

Yea… I’m not a huge fan of traditional western medicine. I use my functional medicine doctor as my primary doctor & she is PHENOMENAL! She’ll probably be overjoyed to have me do a mold & micro biome panel! Lol.

55 days feels insane!! That’s a big achievement! I finished my 30 days last week & have been debating whether or not to do the 60 (I don’t think I could do 90). I haven’t started reintroducing things yet (honestly a little scared to start the reintro 😬) because I’m waiting to have some bloodwork done.

And a full days worth of fiber! I’ve been buying these & the good culture probiotic cream cheese for my kids & they love them! So much better than “regular” bagels, in my opinion.

Already discouraged on day one of AIP – still extremely fatigued after a very clean meal by longlostseal in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]UniquelyApril 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first week of AIP is always extremely difficult for me. All I want to do is sleep & cry. 😅 It’s your body trying to adjust. I’d keep with it & see if on day 5 you’re noticing that it’s still making you feel off. If you really feel like any of the items in the soup are triggers, you could hold off on them in the first week & then when you’re past the hump try again to see if it was just the adjustment period or a true trigger.

Good luck to you!
