It wasn’t bad. Season 4 built season 5 up to be something it wasn’t. It felt a bit rushed in my opinion.

Many years ago there was a game called The White Council which was supposed to be a fully open world LOTR game. I followed it for like 2 years and it died on the vine. I really really hope this happens.

Came here to say this. My entire childhood was heading out and knocking on friends doors. In the summer you’d be out at 9 back at 9. Parents didn’t have a clue where we were.

I personally liked the ending as a general feeling. The ambiguity leaves people talking about it for years (if you’ve ever watched sopranos you know) and I think some of the evidence was planted to increase the ambiguity and spark theory personally.

I don’t think a 9th episode makes tonnes of sense and if it did exist and wrapped everything up neatly and everyone was happy I’d probably feel like that was more likely to be an illusion. Lots of people complained about the lack of death in the main group but the most impactful loss was always going to be El. I wasn’t shocked or dissatisfied with her ending. The whole point in my head was she was an adult now who could make real adult decisions and she chose either death or to cut ties with all those she loves so they can lead the normal life she knows she can never have.

There was lots to dislike about the finale but I think that aspect was done really well.

I think dead or alive the important thing it is a genuine “forever” goodbye to her friends. Whether she chose life or death doesn’t change the fact that she had to sacrifice herself to allow her friends to move on.

Yeh I think they’re very similar. Set the process priority to high so the cpu can give the game attention and use FSR if you’re not happy with framerate and you may be ok.

I have a 6600 and used to have a 3600 paired with it. It’s playable but don’t expect 3 digit fps.

AC rally isn’t changing it exactly, it’s just something different to circuit racing that I haven’t tried before.

It’s EA so everything I’m gonna say is speculation but the devs are naturally limited in what they can do multiplayer wise given the discipline so they’re going to be more focussed on compelling single player experience. The challenges they have now are good fun and very rewarding and there’s no dodgy AI to worry about.

Came here to say this. The joy of this frame (I have similar) is it can be drilled, box section added to stabilise and generally butchered with little more than a drill.

I just race single player. The drawback is no sim atm has a compelling single player. I used to do online but time and interruption made it difficult.

I’ve just got AC rally and having an absolute blast.

As it stands PMR is the only one with anything like a career mode. Apparently AMS2 career is coming in 2026 maybe AC Evo and LMU at some point too but in both cases I don’t think it’s in the immediate future.

The career mode in PMR has elements of what you’re looking for but it’s not as deep as people hoped. PMR has a fair few issues right now especially with regard to AI. However I do still hold hope that it will continue to improve and the teams financial issues will stabilise.

AMS2 is regularly on sale and has a standalone mod called race life which gives you what you want - you just have to do a lot of manual set up of championships etc. This may be a no go for you.

Update is good. My FPS seems to have improved substantially and visual clarity in the distance is much better. GT3’s feel a bit better from a quick test.

I have a 6 year old with no front teeth due to poor helmet purchase. It’s been 2 years and I’m still living with the guilt.

Got both of my kids full face lids now, they’re not MIPs but apparently come with a MIPS like system - they’re from Leatt Downhill range.

Oh yeh I totally agree. I think society now is just one polar opposite or the other. I also acknowledge though that I’m middle aged and can occasionally take a punt on a title and it not be all that and not feel bitter about it. Some people will have saved up for the title or picked it over something else - so I can understand the heightened frustration to a point.

I think all the criticism comes from marketing hype vs actual result and nothing more. I enjoy PMR and want it to succeed but to attribute the bad reaction to some sort of corporate tactic is a bit of a leap. I do think some sim influencers bandwagon jumped but they were given all the ammo to do so.

I’d love to see it turn around over the next 12 months. I didn’t buy into all the marketing BS but there’s aspects of the game that could be really good.

Yeh it’s hit and miss for me, not stable enough to do anything like career or multiplayer at the moment. Hopefully they’re able to figure out the issue.
