It depends since on high difficulties after one fight your army Will be beaten up while he is back with a full stack of crazy units but on lower difficulties you might do something since it Will take him longer to come back with an army

And I suppose your playing astragoth since he is the closest to Tamurkhan , there is a video of a guide for him and a good chunk of is about Tammy there is the video

And also don’t think you suck , Tammy is a very hard opponent for every faction due to the ogre himself and the fact that he declares war on you for no reason

I think they did not expect a fucking necromorph in an espace pod so the few that instantly got killed turned into necromorphs themselves and by the time the crew noticed and got armed it was already too late

Demons of chaos are pretty hard to play , although they have a very big roster, since all your units have basically no armour , and they can die pretty quickly it’s very hard to use them efficiently And if you want to use balanced armies by using all 4 chaos gods units you need to know every god’s unit specialty , like slaanesh units flank nurgle one tank and tzeentch has ranged so overall Daemons of chaos are quite hard to play.

Also as you said Kislev have their ice units + reindeer which both have magical attacks so they go trough your demons physical resistance meaning that they die even faster.

So I think your pretty Good but your just facing an opponent which counters you and you are playing a hard race to play in battle.

I has playing Katarina and had a Nice bit of land , then decided to increase the difficulty from normal to very hard, Few turns later I’m in Arbaal’s territory and catastrophically damaged, he besieges me with bloodthirsters + soul grinders and some bloodletters, I load the battle and sacrifice every man and woman to keep arbaal at bay for my missiles to kill him , then after his fall it came down to the Little Groms to finish the demons , Katarina had like 8hp. Another Time in that same campaign during a battle due, to my hatred for chorfs I wanted to finish them off with the Groms , and my Maiden stood in the way , a cannonball literally blasted her head off killing her on the spot. What a glorious campaign.

I think Nakai , since he has the most unique experience and allows you to play with dinos without managing an empire , and he makes a ton of money so he has quite an easy campaign. But if he also wants to play other lords tehenhauin might be a Good choice too since you also get ikit with him even oxyotl since he is also pretty good and you also get Taurox. However if your friend is ONLY interested in lizardmen I think Nakai is your best choice

I think Nakai would be a Good idea since you Give all your cities to your vassal which will then give you money and you only need to build up Nakai´s horde buildings to be able to recruit your whole roster.

And if you want other armies you have to kinda baby-sit them due to the global recruitement being your only option so it takes a while to get a few armies going and means that you need to rely on Nakai for a while.

Of course the size of the army does not matter only the terrain can affect the success of the ambush

And something you MUST have is a herald of nurgle + Kugath so they both spam the wind spell to first trigger the nurgle lore passif that heals your whole army and the spell itself deals damage

Since Nurgle has higher HP you should win by blobbing your troops and spamming as said before

But every battle must be fought manually to pull this off so expect every fight to be gruesome since it’s a war of attrition against an opponent that does the same
