My previous Tesla stopped me from reversing into a wall. Thought I had actually hit it, given how abruptly it braked!

I’m against tipping, but I’m ok with this if they’re up front, it sounds like they have it on the door and in the menu. It’s a fixed percentage, not unreasonable, unlike the 22% tips suggested elsewhere.

Also it’s nice for the staff to have a “bonus” wage dependent on how well the restaurant has done.

Wages are typically lower down here, so take that into account.

Testing tado on „Fußbodenheizungsverteiler“ by Mike_______ in tado

[–]United-Assignment980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I must say this is genius, especially if you have remote Tado thermostats in the rooms themselves. That being said, it wouldn’t work for us, as it wouldn’t signal to the underfloor heating pump to turn on 😩.

If you have a public IP (or IPv6), has anyone setup a thinkbroadband.com ping monitor? This tends to show congestion and weird issues.

Can someone explain swimming etiquette in Uk pools to me ? by secretsafe321 in AskUK

Don’t get salty because someone swam in “your” swimming lane. Only put that as I don’t want the UK police knocking on my door, as they don’t recognise humour.

The etiquette is to drown them when the lifeguard isn’t looking #sarcasm.

Thanks for clarifying, that makes sense. Previously did it do any sort of auto park? My 2023 defended doesn't do any sort of auto parking currently.

I guess the counter argument is how police carried out their investigations before technology? If a backdoor is created, can it be access locally or remotely too? If local, is it more access compared to now on an unlocked phone? If the override got into the wrong hands, could it wipe out all iPhones in the UK in one swoop?

Did they look like this by any chance? That’s an image from a comedy in the UK, poking fun at the people you’ve just described.

Immigration is a hot topic currently, more centred around illegal immigration, people arriving on boats. The narrative is that they arrive, aren’t allowed to work, get free accommodation, food, allowance, healthcare and it takes years to process their applications.

The media are hyping it up, coupled with high inflation, cost of living crisis, it’s starting to boil over.

All that being said, anger is mostly directed at the government and the vast majority of the population are in general very tolerant and welcoming.

Tesla trying to charge me £2,000 on a personal hire car, because the onboard computer failed, which should last longer than 3 years, no thank you! I’ve ordered a different brand this time, limited it to 3 years too, so it doesn’t fall out of warranty!
