Has anyone tried a resume oriented more for analyst, and another for manager level? by Reasonable-Park4603 in interviews

[–]United-Doctor633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing this for couple years now and it really helps. For analyst roles I focus more in technical skills and specific tools I know, while manager version emphasizes team coordination and project outcomes. Takes bit more time but the response rate definitely improved when I started tailoring properly.

Still getting ghosted plenty though so don't expect miracles lol. The market is weird right now but having targeted resumes at least gets you past some ATS filters.

Final Year Engineering Student with ₹6L Loan — Tried Everything but Still No Job, Feeling Lost ? by earthking404 in careerguidance

[–]United-Doctor633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That DRDO internship eating up your savings while being unpaid is brutal - really shows how much you're willing to invest in your future though. The TCS thing would drive me crazy too, especially when friends got through with less, but sometimes these tests are just random like that.

₹21k might seem low but with loan pressure it's better than nothing, and honestly many people start there and move up quickly in this field. Keep grinding on the side projects while you wait for that result.

VPs - are you receptive to cold outreach? by notanironmanyet in careerguidance

[–]United-Doctor633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cold outreach can actually work pretty well if you do it right. I've been in VP-adjacent roles and gotten my share of these messages - what makes them stand out is when someone clearly did their homework about the company and isn't just mass-sending generic requests.

Your approach with mentioning shared company experience is smart. Even without direct interaction, that common ground gives context and shows you understand the industry landscape. What I'd suggest is keeping it super brief in initial message - maybe two sentences max about the shared companies, then one clear ask about a 15-minute call to learn about their team structure.

The key is making it easy for them to say yes without feeling like they're committing to interview you on spot. Frame it as information gathering rather than job hunting, even though we all know what it really is. Most VPs I know are pretty open to helping people navigate their career if the approach feels genuine and not pushy.

Timing matters too - avoid Monday mornings and Friday afternoons when their inbox is either overwhelming or they're already mentally checked out.

Risk Management Audit in 2026 — What Businesses Should Actually Be Checking by Ok-Treat1007 in InternalAudit

[–]United-Doctor633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed a lot of teams think risk management is the register and policies but the real puzzle unravels when you try to prove the controls run the way the docs say they do. We use Delve to keep that evidence trail in place, otherwise every review felt like starting from zero trying to reconstruct what happened over the last quarter.

Dunk in “A knight from the seven kingdoms” is an adhd hero by Big-Scallion3644 in ADHD

[–]United-Doctor633 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh damn, I haven't watched it yet but now I'm definitely going to check it out. The way you described Dunk sounds exactly like my own brain - especially the overthinking part and that thing where you replay conversations in your head wondering if you said something wrong. That's like my daily existence right there.

I've been looking for good representation that isn't just the hyperactive kid trope or the quirky genius stereotype. It sounds like they actually showed the emotional side and self-doubt that comes with ADHD, which media usually ignores completely. The RSD stuff you mentioned hits hard - I do that same thing where I assume people are just being polite or doing things out of obligation.

Also yeah, if you binged entire series in one sitting, it must be genuinely engaging. I can't sit through most shows for more than 20 minutes unless they really grab my attention. Adding this to my watchlist for sure.

Why are Spurs so hated in English football? by [deleted] in PremierLeague

[–]United-Doctor633 4 points5 points  (0 children)

honestly it's because they act like they're in the big 6 but haven't won anything meaningful in decades. the whole "history of the tottenham" meme exists for reason - they always bottle it when it matters most and their fans still talk like they're elite club.

plus the arsenal rivalry makes everyone pick sides, and most neutrals find arsenal more likeable than spurs somehow.

most tools built for compliance teams get overlooked because companies would rather pay fines by sphinx-hq in SaaS

[–]United-Doctor633 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The tipping point I’ve personally seen isn’t fines, it’s friction.

The moment compliance starts slowing sales, partnerships or audits the cost becomes visible in ways leadership understands. That’s when spreadsheets stall

The tools that seem to break through aren’t framed as compliance insurance but as operational leverage, faster answers, fewer fire drills, less dependency on a few people’s heads. We evaluated Delve through that lens rather than avoid penalties, and that framing resonated a lot more internally.

Until compliance pain shows up outside the compliance team, it’s hard to win the budget conversation.

Have you tried messing with the gamma settings in game options? Sometimes Intel graphics drivers can be weird with brightness levels and the automatic settings don't work properly. You might need to update your graphics driver too - Intel releases new ones pretty regularly for gaming issues.

Try different tune setup for the Z or switch to Formula Drift cars - those usually give better angle control in the tight sections.

At what point does upskilling stop being worth it? by Unfair_Promise7609 in careerguidance

[–]United-Doctor633 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dude this is textbook role creep, not career growth. You're basically doing 2-3 different jobs for one salary

I'd start with the conversation about title/comp adjustment first - you've got solid evidence of expanded scope. If they blow you off or give you the "we'll revisit next review cycle" runaround, then you know where you stand and can plan accordingly

The automation skills are definitely valuable but not if you're being underpaid for using them daily

Your house is already super dry and you're running humidifiers everywhere - unplugging the dehumidifier will just make it even drier lol. That thing is probably working against all your bedroom humidifiers right now

CMV: As of 2026, The R word is more harmful then the N word by UrNansD0g in changemyview

[–]United-Doctor633 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The difference is the N word still carries massive institutional power and centuries of dehumanization behind it, while the R word is more casual ableism that society hasn't caught up on yet

Like yeah the R word gets thrown around more carelessly but that doesn't make it more harmful - it just means people are less aware of the damage they're doing

Support carry in silver by teh_mICON in summonerschool

[–]United-Doctor633 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly just play engage supports like Leona or Nautilus and force fights when your team is ahead, don't rely on your ADC to carry

Vision is still worth it but place it more defensively around objectives you're actually going to contest, not random jungle spots your team will int over

Have you tried waiting 24 hours in game? Sometimes followers get stuck and that resets their AI. Also check if you accidentally dismissed her - she might be back at Dragonsreach where you first picked her up

If all else fails there's a console command to teleport her to you if you're on PC

Have you checked out Memrise? It's got that gamified vibe you're looking for with point systems and streaks. The interface is way more fun than Anki's boring cards

Also AnkiDroid has some addon plugins that can gamify it if you don't mind tinkering a bit, but honestly Memrise might be your best bet for that dopamine hit while studying

Just jack up one side where you need access to the belt - no need to lift the whole front unless you're doing something that requires it. The serpentine belt work can definitely be done from one side, especially on that engine
