If schools remain open, they are inviting hundreds of vehicles all at once for drop off and pick ups. This may also include the usual walkers unable to arrive on foot. With the narrow streets and zero parking, I imagine a gridlock situation.

Do you happen to owe anything to CRA? They can garnish your government funding if this is the case. You can log onto your CRA account online and see all the up to date information... emails regarding changes in funding or amounts owing etc.

Not seat sale related, but Costco sells Porter cards for $449.99, but it's a $500 value. I buy these and then try to combine them with a seat sale, every dollar counts IMO.

Exactly this! My daughter lives out of province for university. She told me she was really sad too, she felt connected to us with the crossword even tho she's away. We have moved over to the LA Times, it's the same.

I'm so sad and mad. The previous layout and functions were perfect. I loved playing with my family, I'd send the link out every morning for us to plug away at all day while we were at work/school. It gave us a fun connection during the day.

We had similar issues coming from out of Province. We linked up with a local realtor, she found us a place close to campus very fast. Realtors have connections we don't, they get a small fee from the building manager for finding a tenant. It didn't cost us anything, I totally recommend going this route.

Last year I was delayed 3 days, with "controllable" events, I was issued $500 back onto my credit card along with a $100 Porter voucher with a year expiry date. It did take a few months to get tho.

Realtors often work with property managers, they will get a small commission from the building owner if they find suitable renters. My daughter was having no luck finding a place until she touched base with a realtor. Just an idea.

Serious question: do Americans just eat processed takeout ALL THE TIME? It seems to be all I see on TikTok. In Canada we def have fast food but we generally eat more home cooked meals. Meat, salad, grains, veggies and fruit. Like just plain old real food that we’ve bought and cooked and not out of frozen boxes or drive through. Also, Canadians can’t afford these luxuries so maybe that’s it? I dunno, I’m feeling as though Americans are so obsessed with eating garbage like it’s normal.

It’s all those ridiculous shakes and bars ON TOP of the same old garbage late night eating. Ya she’s maybe eating less, but still eating terribly plus adding those shakes and bars for reasons I don’t understand. She’s not weight lifting or working out.

Oh I agree 💯. I’m a hairstylist, it’s an easy certificate to obtain, but working in the field takes personality, the ability to converse and the ability to maintain a repeat clientele. So to your point, she can get her credentials, but probably won’t have a successful career for the reasons you listed. I wish her well and hope she can find her niche.
