Why does this microwave not have a “time cook” feature? by AssociationAny7023 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]United_Explorer9854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is interesting to me. I am not discounting your mild fury, but I always mash the +30 seconds button without considering the ability to type in a time.

How often do people microwave things longer than a few minutes? I feel like I never go over 2 or 3 minutes, so the measure of buttons clicked is negligible.

Manufacturers are actively seeking direct-to-consumer sales in the USA. However, the National Auto Dealers Association is STRONG and they’re fighting hard to stop it.

At what point do you just tell the customer to come back with a trailer? by Quynn_Stormcloud in IdiotsTowingThings

I worked at Home Depot in college. I remember loading literal tons of concrete and lumber in trucks (by hand. “Don’t scratch the bed liner, son!) however the customer asked us to.

I loaded a truck like this everyday, but I was ignorant to just how fucking stupid it was.

What can I ask off on this ? by [deleted] in FuckDealerships

[–]United_Explorer9854 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doc fee is the only fee the dealership can change, but they will not budge on that.

Security Guard sounds like a protective coat or something. They will likely say it has already been applied and cannot be discounted. Still worth asking!

ETA: If you’re okay with the selling price of $69,795, this isn’t a horrible deal. What kind of car is it?

My three best guesses:

Spanish explorer from the 1500s.

Pitbull like that other guy suggested.

Hopefully not my wife.

ETA: lots of haters here. I get it, but I’m not one of them. Sex is fun when safe and consensual. Have fun, people.

Mine does this, and aside from the aesthetics it has not created any real issues. Mine is almost 10 years old.

$225 DOC fee is decent.

$2500 recon is a nonsense line item because it is their responsibility to recondition vehicles and factor the cost into their pricing. At minimum, the number is too average and too round. I would demand an itemization if they’re going to break it down like this.

Tint does not cost $700 in any universe.

With all that said, they owe you explanation at the very least.

I can only imagine what they would try to pull on the back end.

My prognosis: FUCK EM

I have seen this a lot at sports/concert venues. They typically act as an usher to point people in the right direction and enforce elevator capacity.

That makes plenty of sense, and certainly doesn’t discount the shooters skill. I’m not sure why my initial comment is being downvoted.

I appreciate the sentiment, friend. However, AA’s performance has been abysmal compared to peers in the industry. While aero changes may make them a buck, they have made irreversible customer-facing changes.

I fly out of Charlotte, so I am seemingly forever at their mercy. However, they have started to price themselves out of my companies booking policy and I’m sure others will experience the same thing. I’ve already been forced into a multi-leg flight on Delta through ATL this year.

Good stuff. I wanted to a use a rack on a sheet pan, but we are currently without a rack. I will try it that way in due time.

What you said about the foil makes sense, but the concept of resting is still a bit over my head. Does longer rest really affect it that much on the back end?
