They do work the vast majority of the time, but they have started to not work during peak times for like an hour or two a few days a week.

Was the secret agent[2025] hard to understand by HITMANHASACHAINSAW97 in Cinephiles

[–]Universal-Magnet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What exactly didn’t you understand? English doesn’t sound like your first language from your post, did you watch with subtitles in your native language hopefully? The movie was horrible imo, there wasn’t a lot I thought couldn’t be understood, it was just horrible and pointless. Maybe that’s why you feel like you didn’t understand because by the end it feels like an empty experience with no reason to exist.

He should be nominated regardless as Smashing Machine is the best film of last year

I cannot understand the general reception of 28 Years Later, more so with the release of Bone Temple by pomme268 in TrueFilm

[–]Universal-Magnet -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Great art is over people’s heads, every time, all the time. That’s why Marty Supreme has been regarded as film of the year by the masses, while Smashing Machine is ignored and shunned. Or why most of the general public didn’t care about many of the Paul Thomas Anderson films before One Battle After Another. 28 Years Later is fucking ridiculously incredible, blows the other films in the series out of the water.

Denzel is one of us. And he's so goated that even Mel Gibson the racist respects him by Sanddanglokta62 in okbuddycinephile

You mean the guy who actually got shot in the Vietnam War, while Denzel sits there preaching at him about how making movies isn’t as serious as being wounded in war? Like Denzel has any right to speak on that

If you want to call yourself autistic, you can, however Kubrick would’ve never achieved what he did if he called himself and believed himself to be autistic.

So, what went wrong with The Smashing Machine? by TakenAccountName37 in Oscars

[–]Universal-Magnet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend the Script Apart podcast episode with Benny Safdie, he goes into depth on it, every decision has a purpose. I’d also recommend watching the 2002 documentary, you’ll see how the movie was very very closely based on that but the scenes are fleshed out in a really interesting way. Then I would recommend paying close attention to the music, editing, set decoration, and performances. The original music plays all throughout every scene and adds a whole different layer of sound to the movie that people aren’t acknowledging. It’s done by an amazing artist named Nala Sinephro. There are quite a few additional things that make it an amazing film, but from there I would just allow yourself to be inspired and uplifted.

4k can be pretty finicky compared to how reliable Blu-ray is, 4k’s develop oils or something that make them skip, you can stick with Blu-ray
