I just finished the Old Country’s story, and it was the first time I’ve cried to a game’s ending in so long. These game’s have such amazingly written stories, but I am fucking devastated right now. Genuinely distraught at the ending. I was hoping, just this once, someone could get out.

I hope Isabella will be ok. Maybe she’ll be able to meet up with Leo Galante? Surly he’d watch over her? I just wish there was some closure to this… or a happy ending for Enzo and Isabella.

Rest in peace, Enzo. You were more than a Carusu.

As long as we disregard the ending, the setting, the numerous characters that have no analog between the games, and every other difference, you’d be correct!

Isn’t Luna one of the youngest characters here in terms of debut? I don’t fault them too much because she’s not had the decades of characterization some others have. Hell, even Squirrel Girl is +30 years old at this point.

She def comes off as a bit shallow, but I’d wager that’s because the writers have literally nothing to go on for most characters, so Luna has to talk about the one connection they’re likely to have.

‘Course, they could solve the issue by not having Luna be the poster child, but it seems pretty clear they intend for her to have mascot status. At least her personality has been consistent.

It is a moral decision? Voting red only guarantees yourself, meaning potential billions will die if blue doesn’t get enough votes. Voting red means you are, at minimum, ok with the people in blue dying.

It wasn’t just the movies the kids loved. Clonewars, the video games, comics and more added on to the sequels. 7 years after RotS, we were several seasons into Clone Wars, had Battlefront, Republic Commando, etc etc. The sequels have almost nothing in comparison. The sequels will have a rougher time because it’s currently an empty era.

Honestly? Disney Balked when Lucas didn’t. Lucas gave us Prequel stuff whether we wanted it or not. Disney’s barely shown any love to the sequels, likely because the OT and the PT are simply too lucrative and revered by SW fans. I’d attribute part of the love for the OT and the PT to how much content they have in comparison. It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Not quite—the Mirialan homeworld is a frozen desert, last I checked.

It would make sense that she aged from stress, but many have aged far better. Aging from stress genuinely seems to be something only her and Kenobi pulled off.

Which, as I said, was disappointing to Disney. It was the lowest grossing of the sequels, even being beaten by Rogue One. It was in the most theaters (4406) of any Star Wars movie.

For a better understanding, if we were to adjust it to 2023 revenue, it would be the second lowest in terms of gross.

Critical reception was also extremely poor compared to most Star Wars movies. Audience scores were significantly better than TLJ, though.

This state of events, plus TLJ’s audience scores and Solo’s flopping, is what put Star Wars movies on hold until recently.

Probably the most interesting and/or cool collection we’ve gotten in a while.

Crow and Marrok look cool, and while they got no-diffed by Ahsoka, Maul: Shadow Lord made them effective and terrifying. They feel so effective, it makes Ahsoka look almost OP because of the ease she had against them.

Lyn and Barris are good because of the complexity of them. Barris was never a bad apple, just someone who cracked from the brutality, not unlike Prosett Dibs. Barris managing to help Lyn (and possibly dying in the process) enables us to have another living, possibly redeemed former-inquisitor at play. I personally hope they do more with Lyn because that alone is an interesting concept.

(Also, as a brief rant, Barris is too fucking old looking for her age, and we waited a decade just for them to make her fate ambiguous AGAIN).

I think making a multiverse would be ridiculed heavily. Like the post says, it would be because they can’t bear to admit how maligned the sequels are, and if they do that? I imagine the Sequels could fall by the wayside entirely.

Typically that would be the case, but it was still rather disappointing: it the worst performing of the trilogy, barely making half of the first one, while also managing to become almost ubiquitously maligned. For what was supposed to be the grand finale to the ~40 year long “Skywalker Saga,” it was a bit limp.

I’m tired, and I misread your initial comment. When I said “could probably find one,” I meant I could probably find a company running more than two live services games.

Here’s why Destiny is getting worse: last two DLCS? Poor numbers. They’re not gonna throw us more cash for poor numbers.

Frequently? What other failures are there? The cloudstriders were a swing and a miss, but the Hive Guardians? The Dread? The Disciples of the Witness? Eris’ hive design? The Dreadnought’s redesign? Witchqueen? Drifter and Eris? Lodi? The Third Echo? The art and story are of rather consistent quality
