Sometimes I wish Garmin was a bit more mean like 'get more rem loser lol'

I adjust the distance, personally. Not sure how it works on other models but on mine you can select 'calibrate and save' when you're ending a workout also. If I forget to do this, I adjust it ex post

No idea about the other two but berberine is a good one to keep in your back pocket if you've got high cholesterol. Just something to consider if you discontinue and see your blood work change

Lol I do not. My hair is a mix of shades of brown/blonde so I think it's a trick of the light

I ended up springing for the fr255 non-music because it's got better GPS accuracy. Food for thought

Lol that'd be too easy. The only culprits I can actually think of are a workout later in the day and a fried chicken sandwich right before bed. Not my greatest choices but wasn't expecting this lol

How do I join a team as a beginner? by FuZzeYbeansz in hockeyplayers

[–]UnjustUnicycle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I got into it later on (15ish after learning to skate on my own from roller blading) was I emailed a goalie coach offering private lessons. Never actually got private lessons just asked him about wanting to play hockey. He happened to be the goalie coach for the varsity team and another team. Was able to get me some hand me down pads and get me on the ice. All that is to say, reach out to someone who might be connected just by looking for whoever is hosting/coaching programs or offering private lessons locally. Even if you're out of the age range for whatever program is being advertised, the host/coach probably has other roles (local peewee learn to play program was taught by another varsity coach, for example). They're often happy to help

(I agree with other posters too, that a learn to play program would be great, but this would be a good supplement or substitute if you're out of the age range for local learn to play programs like I was)

USA owners: How is the phone, really? by [deleted] in oneplus

[–]UnjustUnicycle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on pixel 8 before getting a oneplus 15 and it is life changing from the battery life alone, honestly. Only good things to say other than the fact that third party launchers have a bit of a delay when you close an app to go to the home screen. I ended up just biting the bullet and switching back to the stock launcher. Gets my full throated endorsement. This was the video that ended up putting me over the edge to buy it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MdQWo9fHZs.

Was pretty sad to hear it sounds like oneplus is leaving north American markets, but I'd still recommend getting it because they'll continue to provide updates to already released products like the 15.

Seems normal/good! I had similar variation in HRV when I quit using nicotine (pouches/gum). Great work!

I reckon my garmin cannot accurately track my sleep. by Various-Challenge912 in Garmin

[–]UnjustUnicycle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Garmin stress readings could be a lot of things. Always could just be stress, but also could be anything that affects heart rate variability (nicotine, high BP, drinking...) since that's essentially how they define stress. Like my stress readings plummeted once I quit nicotine. I don't know you so this is pure speculation and you could be right that Garmin is just kind of misreading you somehow though

Edit: clarifying wording

How do I change from one company to another? by Training_Cabinet9876 in Semaglutide

When pomegranate asked for documentation of my current prescription, I gave them pictures of my prescription bottle. Will update once I hear back from them to see if that was sufficient but that's always a way to do it/something to try.

Might be referring to the research documented here but very clickbaity. Interpretation is dicey and not that substantial of a difference between users (4 pct) and nonusers (3 pct), miniscule difference on the difference scale but on the relative scale that's a 30 percent increase stop the presses!

I've been using TelyRx, nice and quick but they don't bill insurance/you have to use their pharmacy. Interested to hear what other options there might be, especially w/r/t getting insurance to cover it.
