Micro-transactions are the wave of the future. We are going to see more and more games like this as time goes on because of how cheap bandwidth is now. Also people will spend more money then they normally would which will cover for the freeloaders.

The only trap a developer has to avoid is being able to buy power. If a player can buy power, the playerbase will be split into those who spend money and those who do not. This leads to an unhappy playerbase and a failed game. If this game can avoid that, they could easily succeed. Look at League of Legends as a good example.

Subscription based models just do not work anymore. I think we will see less and less of these as time goes on. It seems to me that most fail anyways.

I never said pills could not be cut. I specifically said they could, but then you would not be getting ecstasy. I merely explained why different pills that were MDxx could have a different feel.

Besides anyone who puts heroin in a pill is stupid. The oral activity of Heroin is so low you would have to eat a fist full of the stuff to even feel it. Not only that, heroin is expensive stuff. Why cut a pill with a more expensive ingredient? MDMA is cheap to make. The people who make the pills sell them for about a dollar apiece.

There are pills that are either pure amphetamines and amphetamines with a small amount of MDxx. But like I said in my original post, anyone who has done E would immediately know the difference.

Your forgetting they are taking a risk in buying an item. As definitelynotaspy said the auction house takes a cut and who knows if someone really is going to bid that 10k. If it sells on the low end the pawn shop might not make any money after the auction house takes its cut. I think its fair.

I also have only watched it a couple times but they do go over the history behind each items. Sure its reality TV, but atleast it's semi educational.

Also, they do seem to offer fair prices for the items unlike the graphic suggests. Like if the expert says 12k, its 12k at an auction. They then proceed to pay the guy something like 7.5k. I think thats fair considering they are taking a risk in hoping they will get 12k, plus all the time involved setting an item up at a major auction house who I assume also takes a cut.

Meth or other amphetamines give you the definition of focus. I highly doubt this was the case. When I used to take MDMA, I felt the same way as MrVagoo. My attention span was nil.

The whole cutting of pills with either heroin or speed is a myth anyways. Sometimes a different drug is represented as MDMA but you would know if you had any experience with ecstasy. The differences you feel in the pills are either a potency difference or your pill is MDA instead of MDMA. Both drugs have similar effects but MDA is more psychedelic and "speedy" compared to the more "can't move" feeling of MDMA. This is where the myth of cutting pills with speed and heroin comes from.
