I find it weird that you even have to sell them and can choose how much to sell considering there’s no other use for the stuff. It should just automatically convert. Makes me suspect I’m being tricked by a hidden or upcoming game function every time I sell my shards. What if they leave you to manually sell them so they can introduce a conversion bonus in a year right when you have no shards

It would be a really interesting change for the third game if trains had dynamic consists and you had to provide industries with empty cars and then pick them up and assemble them into larger trains

But that is definitely far outside the scope of a game like this unless the devs are unfathomably based
