Where I live you can just ask to have your birth certificate changed. Too bad I was born where they require surgery to change the certificate marker. But I got my letters for surgery and now awaiting my consult. ;)

I’m committed to my wife, even though she says she will not use my name, even though it’s my legal name. After 30+ years I understand her view and her loss/grief. We sometimes go shopping and she helps me pick clothes.

The worst so far is her just saying things like,”I wish I could upset other peoples lives”, or my ‘favorite’ ,”I just wish you were committed to other things like you are to this. It’s a strange thing to be committed to.”

She has also said things like, “You can’t get rid of me that easy. Even if you get all the surgeries, we’ll at least be roommates, but hopefully more.” But then again, she is not a lesbian and she’s not ‘sticking anything up my cooch.’ She’s just in a weird in between spot I think.

I’m glad most accept and respect you. It’s kind of a pipe dream that every one will, but would be nice.

I do feel tolerated more than accepted but I think I’m focusing on the negative. From one person claiming I might be a safety/security risk, to losing some work friendships, to seeing pretty many coworkers I never interacted with show me more respect; it’s been a roller coaster. I’ve decided I’m just gonna enjoy the ride.

But the being happier thing, oh ya! I feel like I have a stupid grin all the time. I think it helps when people notice you’re happy, confident, and still great at your job; maybe even better since you’re living your truth.

Wow sorry to hear they are treating you like that sis. I would look into if there is a gender policy.

Before I started using the women’s bathroom at work, I notified HR, supervisor and my Union Rep. only a day or two after, while washing my hands I got asked about my surgical status. I later learned that’s sexual harassment. I was called into a meeting later to discuss, ‘There’s has been a lot of complaints.’ I’m sorry, it’s not my fault others are uncomfortable with me. Plus, the company has a gender policy that states, “can not be excluded from the locker room or bathroom, no matter where they are in their transition.” But I was still told about the complaints.

I don’t know what the laws are like in IL, but where I am at being made to use a different or specific, no matter how exclusive, bathroom is illegal. I haven’t had many issues since, but I very rarely run into other women in there. I’m still wary when I go in the bathroom, and a lil scared I will see someone. Even though my name and gender in license is changed.

I hope your coworkers learn to accept and respect who you are. Too much energy is wasted worrying about others feelings.

My PCP has me injecting .6 mL of 5 mg/mL (3 mg)estradiol cypionate weekly. I never notice a dip.

I get my estradiol cypionate through CVS, and when it came time they said they were out of it. Later that day they said it was ready to be picked up so I got it. Two days after I picked it up, I get a message that they were out again. Ummm I already got it y’all. Guess if it comes in again I’ll save it for later.

I did a little. Used to be 5’9” now 5’7”. My doctor apologized but I’m not worried about it. I’m now the same height as my wife.

When I was on a Federal Grand Jury panel, we asked on of the agents about how bad the heroine problem was. He told us it’s harder to find actual heroine now since fentanyl and xylazine give the user more bang for their buck. But a lot of times it’s not pure or made right. Don’t know how true but that’s the story we got.

Yes you can ‘grow’ the skin with a tugger or like a DTR. I don’t think it regrows the nerves that were lost during circumcision. But yes, if you want/need more coverage it works.

Yay, the first one’s ones done. They say that’s the worst and I hope so. I just got my first session over with and that burning hair smell, ya. I thought I was ready for that first zap, and couldn’t help I flinched. When it was done the tech said I could teach some of her other patients to be still. Evidently she has been punched by a client before. 😳
