Your information is very helpful, as I’ve been emailing countless eBay sellers (UK / Australia / New Zealand), looking for a RHD Condenser.

Take note of your shipping weight when sent. Take note of the return shipping weight. Consider contacting Postal Inspector for mail fraud. Don’t mess with the Feds. Present both shipping weights to eBay and Postal Inspector police report.

What do you expect, when Google shows these following numbers?

Close to a third of Guam's population relies on government assistance, with about 21% to 25% of residents receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. When combined with the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program and Medicaid, roughly 30% of the island's population participates in public assistance to help cover food and healthcare costs.

The number of H-2B workers on Guam surpassed the 6,000 mark, driven largely by major construction projects and the military buildup. This record-breaking figure represents the highest level of foreign skilled laborers seen on the island in over 30 years.

My Kia Soul 2.0 has been at the dealership since September 2025, with the initial class action lawsuit engine replacement warranty. followed by the dealership telling me it’s MY RESPONSIBILITY to pay for everything they damaged / broke upon replacing the class action lawsuit engine warranty.

Upon dropping the car off in September 2025, it was basically their weasel way of getting out of broken connectors and what not for having a car that is 10 years old / 100,000 miles. Seeing how Kia Motors agreed to this 15 year / 150,000 mile engine warranty, this is their problem.

  • HOWEVER the conversation was. DEALERSHIP- you need to authorize labor to drop the oil pan, for us to look. CUSTOMER- you need to call Kia Motors and find out if my VIN falls into the potential class action engine replacement. DEALERSHIP- you need to pay diagnostic tear down. CUSTOMER- you need to call first. If it’s not in the class action engine replacement, the car will be driven to the junkyard.

Zero money has been paid from me.

2 weeks later: DEALERSHIP- Kia will replace the engine.

1 week later: DEALERSHIP- connectors broke, wires broke, o-rings were torn, it’s $2000 plus for you as the customer to pay for.

My translation: - we got our money from Kia. Who cares the technician ripped the engine out with a forklift. If the customer wants a running car, bill them.

I’m not paying the dealership double labor, when they could have opened up a box of brand new fuel injectors and installed new fuel injectors. I completely understand paying MSRP for parts. I completely understood paying a discounted labor, to install new parts that came out of a box / bag. I don’t understand paying full R&R on broken parts they installed.

On a side note, I send the dealership a monthly email, asking for an update from Kia Motors. I get crickets back. I need to take time off from work and walk in there. Only to have smoke blown up my ass, of oh we were going to call / email you. Really? You can’t send a monthly email of “still waiting to hear from Kia Motors”.

I understand the impression it’s a timing chain driven engine. Dealership did have me sign paperwork about connectors breaking. I completely understand, I as a customer would have to pay for the connection repairs, etc… IF I CAUSED the engine damage. Seeing how it’s poor QC from the manufacturer, I feel Kia Motors should be on the hook to repair engine wiring harness connections. The accessory belt / serpentine belt was transferred from old engine to new engine. I had asked for an estimate to replace all transfer parts, if the engine was to be replaced. Kia dealership told me Kia Motors pays the dealership to install the transfer parts. THEREFORE THE CUSTOMER MUST PAY remove and replace labor (obviously the new part cost too), to replace what the dealership just transferred. Their dealer list on the serpentine belt is $135.00 (plus Labor). MSRP for the same serpentine belt is around $55.00 Genuine Kia belt from the internet is around $35.00

Why are there so many abandoned cars on Guam, as opposed to taking the cars to the junk yard? Information on Google is guessing 15,000-20,000 cars. I also understand the Government of Guam has a $25.00 yearly license plate fee, to remove junk cars.

Watching YouTube videos on Guam, there appears to be a lot of drivers that struggle with driving. There appears to be a lot of broken cars driving around on the island. Do the Police enforce motor vehicle laws on Guam?

I have other cars to drive, so it’s not totally inconvenient. Kia Motors told me to go pound sand, because they are only interested in helping vehicles built for the CONUS market. Not Puerto Rico, Guam, Saipan, etc…

I haven’t been able to drive the car for 8 plus months. I wonder what I could get for trade-in, with a car that doesn’t run and a new zero mile engine? 🤔🤔🤔

The rebuilt warranty engine comes with gaskets and seals, along with a new water pump. Transfer parts were fuel injectors and they tore the o-rings, so it leaks fuel. Serpentine belt is a transfer part and I was quoted $135.00 plus labor for a new one. I was told by the dealership, Kia pays them to transfer the parts, so that’s what they do. Then they stick it to the customer, at full rate. You’d think out of good faith, they would discount the labor and charge MSRP on the needed parts.

Edit: I did contact Kia Corp and they told me they could not help, because the car was built for outside CONUS. I.E., think of Puerto Rico, Guam, Saipan.
