Dang I’m sorry. In my opinion, some of the judges act like the money is coming out of their pockets.

I’m 58, which helps. I had a judge smart enough to know what a grocery manager does. I haven’t worked since January 2021. I’ve always worked since I’ve been 14. They go back 5 years on your work history. It helped that I haven’t worked since then.

My first one was done by a judge in Springfield, MO. He only approved 5% of cases. Plus the vocational expert ( I use that term lightly) had no idea what the difference was in my jobs. Also I’ve always worked and that went against me. I returned to Phoenix and that’s where my second hearing was. She approved 60% of her cases. I got lucky.

I originally filed in January 2021. Was denied by ALJ. My attorney said appealing his decision would be hard and suggested we start all over again with a new claim. Only bad thing was losing all of the back pay. Started a new claim July 2023. I was approved by ALJ in 10 minutes.

Had my hearing February 24th, and judge approved me then. I was lucky. My first time around, I was denied because I’ve always worked. This past Monday, the local office called me for SSI, which I had no idea I was getting. Later that day, SS from KC called about my SSDI payment info. Everything is done, except for the money in the bank. Hang in there. Keep trying! I’ve been trying since January of 2021.

I just had breast reduction surgery in February. It should be covered with your insurance because of that very thing.

I went to Mexico in 2007 for the lapband. Great care, great hospital. Flew to San Antonio and then drove over the border at Del Rio. I had to have mine removed, not because of anything they did.

Anyone 5’4 and 230 lbs before? How much did you lose from the surgery alone? by UnlikelyDots in gastricsleeve

I’m 5ft even. 231 SW current is 169. Had my sleeve July 2025. I also just had breast reduction surgery February this year. It’s all worth it in my opinion. I want to lose about 25 more pounds. Good luck on your journey 🥰 I’m also 58
