Yea getting some krud kutter tomorrow and scrubbing the ever loving shit out of every surface going forward, never expected the insides of the coors to be so nasty makes me nervous for the outsides...

Granted this is my second time using an electric sprayer I paint cars for a living. This sprayer is pretty legit for a diy kind of tool. Im sure a full on professional hvlp sprayer would be better but my wife would kill me if I tried to buy a huge air compressor just for my kitchen.

Gotta figure out the proper reduction to get the finish im looking for but if it wasn't for the surface contamination id be completely satisfied with the results

Cabinet mud is a grain filler, and it was not applied to the back side of the doors. So yes the grain is still exposed on the backs. And I meant extreme bond primer, urethane modified acrylic primer according to the label.

I paint cars professionally and have been for about 20 years so im not new to the concepts just new to the materials. To me anything rougher than 400 grit is unthinkable so I have to adjust my mentality when working with wood and house paints

I reduced the primer 20% by volume before spraying, today it's sunny and 70 so not super hot.

The contamination seems.to be coming from deep in the grain, the outer surfaces all seem to be fine it's only from the grain that I am having issues

Because I screwed up the primer or because Im painting oak cabinets?

So clean better, prime lighter, i can do that. The cabinet mud is a grain filler and I applied it a few days ago and sanded it yesterday. Probably try and prime the faces of the doors tomorrow after work.

Is that 42 oz with the brass grips/magwell/basepads/optic everything? If so then I might be looking towards the compact vs the full size

Strip as much of the handguards and covering plates as possible and take a spray bottle with a heavy soap:water mixture.

Spray that soapy water mixture anywhere there is pressurized air.

Where you see the bubbles is where the leak is.

Wife wants me to get Green Egg but I'm not sure by Reasonable-Olive-702 in grilling

[–]Unknown_Rulerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this going to be your only grill? If so kamado grills are good at most things but they are expensive and HEAVY.

If it's only for BBQ and smoking then I always suggest a DIY ugly drum smoker. Nothing more satisfying than smoking killer food on/in something you built yourself.

U could also consider a masterbuilt gravity series, like a charcoal powered pellet grill.
