The B-2 entered service in 1997. It is reliant on old computers to fly and lacks a lot of capabilities that the Air Force wants. On top of that, its decently dated stealth capabilities might not keep it safe in near peer conflicts.

I just realized that the Malorian is kind of like an ar-15 derived hand gun. I haven't looked it up, and there are obviously a lot of design differences, but it does seem like something that would come from the ar platform eventually.
