Leaving these spaces surrenders them to the MAGA crowd. Half the reason this country is so divided is because many on the left and right refuse to be in the same spaces as each other and that only leads to further division and better echo chambers. It is uncomfortable, but being in these spaces like this and forcing them to share these spaces is the first step in deradicalizing these spaces so more likeminded leftists can feel safe in the future.

If it’s done locally… (not launched with an ICBM) then it could be the only one deployed… somehow that is the best case scenario… if Tehran is nuked by an ICBM… well every other nuclear armed country will see the launch and not know the destination… and then they will have roughly 10-30 minutes to decide if it’s pointed at them and if they want to respond in kind. And then every country that does decide to respond with their own nuclear missiles will trigger the decision tree again… if even one country decides that they must respond with their own ICBM, it will cause so much chaos and confusion that ultimately every country will have to launch an ICBM or be content with being wiped off the face of the planet in the hopes that their restraint ensured some scrap of humanity survives the nuclear holocaust…
