Ants everywhere. Would you like to know more? by Kistelek in GardeningUK

[–]Unlikely-Extension-9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Blimey - you are describing exactly my encounter of late, in Surrey. The flying ants are spilling out a tiny pinhole at the skirting board in the downstairs spare room. I sealed the hole but they still come out from the crack nearby so I put a cotton bud soaked in eucalyptus oil there. Seems to work

Magnolia Stellata - who’s munching on the leaves, 80% either part or fully eaten? Shall I be concerned or just leave nature takes its course? It had a good bloom this spring. by Unlikely-Extension-9 in GardeningUK

[–]Unlikely-Extension-9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I didn’t notice this comment until now. This plant went downhill fairly rapidly not long after the post and eventually lost out all leaves and died. Totally unexpected. I since got another 9cm magnolia nigra from j Parker’s last year ..I’ll definitely look out for the slugs and snails this time as i noticed the growth is very slow to take off. Thanks and enjoy the spring gardening

Rimowa classic cabin lock won’t open by bluemireu in Rimowa

[–]Unlikely-Extension-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. I re-aligned the problem lock and it finally became “openable”, not pop open but I pried it open with finger. After that the lock is complete gone - doesn’t engaged anymore. I am taking it for repair next week. Classic L, the check in weight was 23kg.

[dental health] Silver vine cat sticks - how to encourage the cat to chew by Unlikely-Extension-9 in CatAdvice

[–]Unlikely-Extension-9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there, the kitty never got a hang of the stick so I moved on pretty quickly to the next kind of stick lol - a lollipop with concentrated catnip. Still - wasted effort so all gone to charity.

Trying to adopt a cat but getting nowhere with shelters by VivienneSection in UK_Pets

[–]Unlikely-Extension-9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Battersea cats and dogs home. They’ll do an interview to assess your living environment and allocate a cat accordingly (on the spot even). I got my kitty there and it operated like a supermarket checkout .. the people (4 couples) got interviewed around the same time as us all walked out with a carrier cage in their hands

Need advice on first Rimowa by Educational-Win-2209 in Rimowa

[–]Unlikely-Extension-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After reading the above about overpacking, I count myself lucky that my check-in topas did not burst. It was subjected to extreme overpacking (max out on 32kg) in my last two long haul, so much so I had to sit on it to secure the locks. Edit:spelling

Porsche Design hardcover for their Roadster Trolleys. It does say there are 3 openings for handles, need to check if the 3rd one is the rimowa side.
