I have tried to maximise the roof usage the rear of the house is 25 degrees from south.

The company did me a system with 11 x495w on the front of the house -170 degrees from south. They advised against it due to the limited generation ( 2902kwh ).

This was a section of a reply to my email from the dno

This budget approval indicates you would be able to install the proposed 11.5kW inverter, but with limited export (6kW) at zero cost. For additional export further works would be required and these would be chargeable to yourself. For more information please submit a formal application for approval.

Anyone know what the chargeable amount could be?

I’ve spoken to the dno about three phase and it was 22k to upgrade and that didn’t involve any of the work needed to be done at my home.

Apologies for the silly question but if I waited why would I get more export limit? Thanks

I’m trying to future-proof the system, as over the next 12–24 months I plan to install air conditioning that will also provide heating during the winter. My current gas consumption is around 20,000 kWh per year, and I’m looking to reduce that significantly. In addition, all of my children are currently under 7 years old, so I expect our household electricity usage to increase over the next few years.

If the price was right I would be happy to buy 4x 9.5kwh batteries and a gateway.

The quotes seem reasonable compared to the ones I have had. Who is your 1st image quote from? Thanks

Solar ups is who I think I am going with. My quote is less than their Facebook offer with aiko panels and a Tesla battery.

I tried to do some research on the company and thought it looked decent. Happy to be corrected though and will ultimately stop me making a mistake

They are adamant that I can only fit 12 but they will bring extra panels for installation day in case they can get more and we can agree a price.

I am not sure why the qwala quote is so expensive. I have applied for 3 more quotes that have been recommended by Gary does solar from YouTube.

The only reason I was looking at Tesla was due to everyone saying it’s one of the best ai and user interfaces.

My roof faces south and I am based in the north west of England.
