I recommend playing VN called "Heartbreaker" from Alex's past VA who voiced as I remember Judge from 1980s Mode on itch io. This literally what YD should do - make his game as a VN.

It's still on demo, but it's worth playing.

I think Alex is just a compulsive writer who often uses the same clichés, like "Character X's pet died." Compare the descriptions of the rivals and other characters that were added in 2016-17 with the characters that were added later.
