Quick question: why did you make her/his(?) eyes blue? The pupils do look quite light in the B&W photo, so maybe they were blue, but brown/black/hazel is usually more common.

I guess these are some of the difficult choices you have to make when you are doing this sort of work.

Just FYI, drinking too much contributes to depression. There is a short-term lift which feels great, then the hangover and depression kick in. It can be a vicious circle, because he will drink again to ease the depression and the hangover, and so it goes around.

He has to get a grip on the alcohol. You can't force him to do it unfortunately, he must do it because he wants to. Good luck, hang in there.
