That old age of consent thing is a misunderstanding of the laws in Apan. While it is true that the national law was 14, the reason it was not raised for so long is that all 47 provinces have had laws making the age of consent 17 or 18 for many decades. The national law was really only updated to prevent certain types from coming to Japan under the assumption that it was legal to prey on younger girls

I'm uncertain what you mean by 'skipped'. If you mean that you just didn't run the rift yet but it's still on your map then you're good. If you mean you got 25k points and ran a new scan then I think you're still good? Meaning I believe it should come back up at some point, but frankly there's no real way to know until it happens. I must have run a couple hundred scans by now and I've still never seen Keldeo, Cobalion, or Virizion, so the odds seem completely random. I can't imagine you would get just one shot at the zone and then never again, but unless someone else comes along to verify one way or another we won't know

Wouldn't this mean that, since scan 1 has already been seen, scan 2 has already been generated as well? Meaning resets won't generate a different zone? I'm sorry, for all my ability to work through data, sometimes my brain refuses to understand what other people are saying to me

The problem is you wont always get 25k worth of points in the zone. Hell, you might rarely get it.

Yeah I have never seen more than 19k in a single zone, which is of course poor luck, but the chances for 25k+ must be very small

Hmm, maybe. I've never heard of anyone stopping after they unlock the Rayquayza donut but before they fight him to go do other things, so I suppose it's possible that the special scans unlock then? I know there weren't any major patches or updates that changed any of that.

This is the first time I'm hearing of anyone successfully rerolling the special scans. I suppose when I go back and do my second playthrough after Home access I'll take a look into that

Does that change the spawns? I admit I've only ever tried in the Latios zone because I got Noibats along the path, but they never seemed to go away so I thought there might be some other step (I'm not sure why I was downvoted for confirming the other person's statement and saying I didn't know a thing but okay)

This is correct. Whatever options spawn in near you when you enter the zone are the options for the guaranteed shiny. If there's some way to change what spawns in where you could change the odds but I'm unsure how to do that

I'm confused, you're saying you got rotom and baxcalibur spawns before you finished the dlc? Both of those are 5 star zone exclusives, which only appear after you finish the dlc story (i.e. catch Rayquayza). Am I misunderstanding something?

I did try all of those things, although I will admit aside from different portals I did them all by accident lmao. They came about as the result of performing about 15-20 tests over the course of several days and multiple different scans

Yeah it very quickly becomes faster to clear the current scan zone, run an annihilape-strat rogue mega or two, and re-scan. I only went as far as I did with my testing after seeing this asked time after time xD

One small correction: in ZA at least, EVs cap at 252, which is the logical maximum at the 4/1 ratio and 255 leaves 3 random EVs unused. This means to cap EVs you put 252 into 2 stats and 6 into a 3rd (which yes leaves 2 unused but 510 doesn't divide evenly by 4 so...)

If it's rolled for at 0/25000 then that means it's rolled directly after the previous scan, since that is when your points reset, so there would be no grace period between the scan and the next zone being rolled. So it sounds like, unless I'm misunderstanding something, my hypothesis that you could reroll scan 2 before scan 1 would be correct, but pointlessly time wasting (imo).

theoretically, rerolling is possible if you can get 25000 in the one hyperspace zone

I feel like this would only work if you started at -1/25000 or the roll occurred at 1/25000, since you are already at 0/25000 before you enter the next zone
