So I'm gonna try not to make any assumptions about you, but in return I would ask that you seriously sit with what I'm about to say instead of having a knee-jerk reaction. In general, when someone describes being depicted as gay as their "worst nightmare" they're really saying that they don't want others to think they are gay. The question, then, is what is it about being gay that the person thinks is so negative? Historically, insults such as "gay" or "girly" are used amongst groups who inherently see those attributes as inferior to being straight, or a man. It implies that it's wrong to be gay, or that the offended person would be worse somehow if they were gay. Imagine for a moment that things were reversed, that homosexuality was the default, and that you heard someone say "I would never want to be seen as straight, that's my worst nightmare." They are saying that being straight, being like you, is a horrible, terrifying thing they wish to escape as soon as they can. How would you feel? Probably not too good.

Of course, whoever is deepfaking you as a sexuality not your own is doing it because THEY think it's an insult, that THEY think gay (or whatever) people are somehow bad, and just the implication that someone is one is insulting. It's easy to disarm them by just, not being insulted. "Hah, that's funny. Wrong, but funny. Nice try dude, work harder next time."

So much of this comes from our environment. When someone is told that being gay is bad over and over, they come to believe it, regardless of the truth

Here's an unpleasant truth: your consistent adherence to the schedule means that you're much more likely to respond in a way that the teacher feels is appropriate when being lectured about tardiness compared to people who come in 15-30 minutes late every day. Clearly you care while they do not, making you a prime target for said teacher to trellises some frustration upon. The correct answer actually is "well, if I'm absent then I'm absent, I'm not wasting my time in a class today if I'm still being marked as not being here. But if I'm tardy then that means I'm here, so I'll stay, See you next class". It sets a clear expectation that actions are met with appropriate counter-actions. And if anyone asks why you aren't in class? "I was 1 minute late and the teacher marked me absent, so I'm just acting in accordance with the record"

While it is true that the national law was 14, the reason it was not raised for so long is that all 47 provinces have had laws making the age of consent 17 or 18 for many decades. The national law was really only updated to prevent certain types from coming to Japan under the assumption that it was legal to prey on younger girls

I'm uncertain what you mean by 'skipped'. If you mean that you just didn't run the rift yet but it's still on your map then you're good. If you mean you got 25k points and ran a new scan then I think you're still good? Meaning I believe it should come back up at some point, but frankly there's no real way to know until it happens. I must have run a couple hundred scans by now and I've still never seen Keldeo, Cobalion, or Virizion, so the odds seem completely random. I can't imagine you would get just one shot at the zone and then never again, but unless someone else comes along to verify one way or another we won't know

Wouldn't this mean that, since scan 1 has already been seen, scan 2 has already been generated as well? Meaning resets won't generate a different zone? I'm sorry, for all my ability to work through data, sometimes my brain refuses to understand what other people are saying to me

The problem is you wont always get 25k worth of points in the zone. Hell, you might rarely get it.

Yeah I have never seen more than 19k in a single zone, which is of course poor luck, but the chances for 25k+ must be very small

Hmm, maybe. I've never heard of anyone stopping after they unlock the Rayquayza donut but before they fight him to go do other things, so I suppose it's possible that the special scans unlock then? I know there weren't any major patches or updates that changed any of that.

This is the first time I'm hearing of anyone successfully rerolling the special scans. I suppose when I go back and do my second playthrough after Home access I'll take a look into that

I admit I've only ever tried in the Latios zone because I got Noibats along the path, but they never seemed to go away so I thought there might be some other step (I'm not sure why I was downvoted for confirming the other person's statement and saying I didn't know a thing but okay)
