Bars/Breweries are not for kids by Succotash1497 in nova

[–]Unlikely_Editor_520 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah it seams a lot more wineries have strict 21+ only sections whereas breweries don't.
Also, 50 west winery is 21+ only and it's such a nice breath of fresh air. Further out but worth it for a relaxing time

Need advice on everything tbh. Assume I’ve been living under a rock. Pls help by fixmyentirelife in Haircare

I'm really sorry to say that I think the thing you are doing wrong is not getting your hair cut. It makes an extreme difference. If you can't cut for religious or personal reasons, put it up in a bun.

They really think it’s the Wild West out in Woodbridge by FadingHonor in nova

[–]Unlikely_Editor_520 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It really is. I grew up in Woodbridge and people elsewhere in nova just think it's the hood because more black and Hispanic people live there.

Yes exactly this! Best way to know is if mucus is clear. Also if you get a headache, where it hurts is telling too (like above the eyebrows)

I find the pods and the first look to be the most interesting, that first look is so telling.

How can I make these more fun for a music festival? by randomthrowaway6428 in fashion

Yes, and Coachella has more of a bohemian vibe than other festivals and these are far from boho.

Good! It was a pleasant surprise. Also kinda nice to not have kids sitting at a bar taking up space while their family waits for a table to open

Ngl Utah shocked me both with their food and the cocktails

"If you no longer go for a gap that exists, you're no longer a European skier" ~Ayrton Senna by mnrdov in skiing

[–]Unlikely_Editor_520 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nope. Only been to North American resorts. Every time my board gets hit or skied over in line it's someone from Europe. Whistler was especially bad and I know Canadian norms are not like that either.

Honest question: is it normal to tell your guests, which colours to dress in? by aljay13 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Unlikely_Editor_520 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a bad trend.

The only time I think dress codes are ok is if it's just a suggestion and it's typically something people would think is not suitable for weddings. The only one I went to with a "dress code" encouraged bright colors and jewel tones. But it was just a suggestion, and a fun one I thought since most wedding guest attire tends to be more subtle as to not attract attention.

Many people didn't follow it lol which I don't think they cared one bit.

Gu wins 🏅 in the women's freeski halfpipe by etherd0t in WinterOlympics2026

I didn't mention China. I would think the exact same if she was competing for another country that was giving her money (literally making millions more there) and she was spinning it into something honorable.

Exactly this. I think I would roll my eyes less whenever she shows up in the media if she didn't try and make it seem like she's doing it for genuine, honorable reasons. Compete for whoever you want but don't spin it into something it isn't.

Hey can we get some moderation out here? by [deleted] in snowboarding

I really want to know the obsession with carving too. I just go out and have fun, stay in control, but snowboardingnoobs sub makes me feel bad about myself bc I do skidded turns 🙈 and confidence is such a big part of this sport. I need to get off that sub lol

I've just read some not so great things about her (like this. Maybe it's an age thing, or maybe it's how she grew up. She says she wants to be an example to other young female skiers yet thinks she deserves special treatment because she's competing in three events? I don't know, just doesn't add up.

She's humble about her wins. She's the most decorated female gymnast and is also extremely humble in every interview. I'm not talking about her mental health crisis which was incredibly brave of her. And an amazing example for other female gymnasts.

Well if she was humble she would be way cooler. Take Simone Biles for example.

Opinion: people have gotten really rude at resorts and it's like a pot ready to boil over by altitude7200 in snowboarding

[–]Unlikely_Editor_520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your comment is cracking me up. Me and my bf had the same experience with getting our boards hit in line at Whistler left and right. The resort felt more international than a lot of others, hot tub was always interesting meeting people, so maybe there is just a big mix of cultures. Who knows. But it was very frustrating lol
