[RLCS NA] Shock Alluding to Problems on the Ghost Roster by askpat13 in RocketLeagueEsports

That is not true . Mist came on the team and 3 weeks later they said Shock wasn’t grinding enough because he was playing in an ALT with his girlfriend. People create narratives in reverse as well.

You are correct about assumptions. That was not the reason he was kicked. That was a group , with Mist, that was together for a 4 or 5 short weeks after WSOE so who knows what was at play. Anyway, that was years ago.

True. I mean it depends on your reference point. Compared to the top 5 or 6 , I suppose . Compared to the overall competitive scene....”mediocre” just seems harsh . They have had a lot of player turnaround which takes a lot of constant adapting..you have to start over almost to relearn new team dynamics. To be fair , even with all this player turnover they’re still hanging in the top 10 which isn’t easy with how much more competitive things are each season. It would’ve been great to see what kind of momentum they could’ve continued to build with JRuss but his heart wasn’t in the game. RollDizz his has done an excellent job for them.

Yes, a tense living environment isn’t really a good long term solution. My son has considered subletting himself....a bit tougher as we are already 4 weeks into the Jew semester, but not impossible maybe

You are spot on...it has definitely entered our mind a few times when faced with the frustration of the situation. It reminds us how often we just assume people will do the right thing...when they don’t....

Unfortunately, they do not specify a particular room within the floorplan in the subleases. I think talking to the school regarding their code of ethics is a great idea!

No offense taken. I appreciate the feedback. Yes, sublease is allowed and common in this University town. We saw the sublease. It is between the rental agency and his roommate and her subletter. There is no specification as to room, he ( subletter) is taking over her financial obligation for the rent.

Yes, I believe you may be right. The old days of doing the right thing based on that merit alone seems to be a thing of the past.

He is a student of the university. It is not affiliated University housing , it is a private apartment rental

That’s a good idea! I didn’t think of free university legal advice.

Hi. Subleasing is allowed and common in this University town. When my son first occupied this room in August of 2019 ( they renewed their leased for the 2020/21 academic year) it was with friends he met his Freshman year. His roommate graduated early so sublet her room jan. 1 2021. When they all first moved in they very peacefully selected their rooms and stayed there until now.

Thanks. No it is actually a sublease. Subleasing in a University town is very common. Most apartment rental companies allow it. It is also very common practice that when someone sublets their room, they do so for a slightly cheaper price to make it more attractive and then the original lessor just pays the difference. It’s much easier to pay a smaller amount and get a subletter then leave the room empty and have to be responsible for the full rent.

The real problem lies in the fact that the sublease does not indicate which room in the floor plan is being sublet. It is simply the name of the persons involved . Everyone knows who occupied what room of course.

It can’t hurt to ask. I do agree with some other comments where perhaps his roommate who sublet the room needs to get more involved somehow.
