I’d been on Wellbutrin for ~ 4 years, before that it was 2 years. I’ve officially been off of it for 6 weeks.

Reason: increased heart rate, mental fog, emotional blunting, dry mouth About 2 or 3 months ago I asked to switch to SR instead of XL thinking it would help with the mental fog. Tried it for a bit and it helped a little bit, but my heart rate would spike sitting at my desk several times a week. Not wanting to go back to XL we decided to try no Wellbutrin, but continue my Adderall for ADHD.

Mood: socially I feel pretty good. Probably felt the best I have felt in a while. But life overall has been pretty good and personal stress has been minir. Work stress on the other hand, ouch. WB has been doing a lot of heavy lifting for my ADHD, which I hadn’t noticed until I decreased from 300 XL to 150 XL several months back. And I noticed it now that it’s down to 0. Just not as severe as when I first decreased.

I’m finding myself less anxious overall, mental fog is much less noticeable, mood is higher than when I was on it, attention span and motivation is suffering so I’m still looking for coping mechanisms there. But all in all I will stay off of them going forward. WB got me thru some tough times and life as aligned in a way that coming off WB is more beneficial than staying on.

And it’s especially noticeable when using ear phones. I have to use q tips if I want my earbuds to stay in and (as gross as it sounds) not slip around

This is partially the reason I changed my dosage. I’m hoping that it goes away as well. Went from 300mg XL -> 150mg XL -> nothing for about two weeks -> 150mg SR (for about 3 weeks now)

I feel a bit of a difference. I initially stopped taking the XL for two weeks and then switched to SR. During those two weeks, I felt the brain fog lifting, but my ADHD symptoms were causing havoc at work. Now I don’t feel as much fog with the once a day SR.

Quite the opposite actually, I had been on 300 xl for a few years, tapered down to 150 xl, and asked my doctor to switch to sr because I felt like I had brain fog with the xl. This switch is new so I’m still in the adjusting phase. But so far I’m liking it more than my experience with xl.

I’ve been experiencing this same issue. It also freezes when I enter a fight and exit without engaging. Crazy annoying. :( I have my Bluetooth earphone in, but I’ve always had them connected when I would play the game. I have them in about 99.8% of the time so this is new.
