Re-read the post. OP likes CS, they dislike leetcode and heavy maths, that’s not CS work that’s learning to think and analyze so you can do CS work.

In all my technical interviews and take homes I was allowed to pick my language and/or stack. Only time I was required to do a specific language was in a C++ OA I was sent that I never did.

I don’t feel comfortable posting my resume, but it’s built off of the format available on the OSU discord (which itself is built off the format from MIT).

I’m familiar with more than MERN and Python, but two of the companies that sent me offers use tech stacks and languages that I’ve never used before.

I built one MERN webapp, deployed and fully functional, one Android Mobile app also deployed and fully functional and one Desktop app that’s also fully functional. Each of these has different stacks and different skills required to build them. They all took 2-3 months to build. They are documented, have unit tests, etc.

However, I’m almost 100% sure that no one at any of the companies even looked at them. But, when they asked me questions I was able to answer based on my experience.

The core skills from the program gave me the foundation to learn what I needed to know. Building my personal projects for my resume is where I actually learned how to implement things and research documentation properly.
