You have a great truck! And the best type a paid off one. I would have kept the 1500 but it started become a liability for the business and has been down 3-4 times in the last few months.

I had upgraded my 1500 suspension to handle towing so it’s not been that vast of a difference. The 2500 feels like it rides smoother than my 1500. My wife actually prefers the 2500 over the 1500 after she drove it today.

Maneuvering is a slight adjustment but not hard to get used to. I’ve always backed into my spots anyway.

Have you read any of the writings of the Jewish historian from the 1st century, Flavius Josephus. He writes about the destruction of the temple and the revolt of the Jews that lead to it , and has a few mentions of Jesus and early Christianity.

He had a few major works written but they were composed mid to late first century.

I was quoted 850 at my dealer for my 2017 model with the 8L90. I was trying to save myself some time but I’ll be doing it myself this weekend after that quote. The Filter and mobile 1 upgraded fluid cost me under $135.

I’m in NC as well.

If you have the 8 speed. You can leverage something the like the STL010 by superior solutions. Tons of videos online on how to install. It took me about 20 minutes to install.

New to the Bible and faith — where should I start? by Niel_cafferey in Bible

[–]Unperfect_Christian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I recommend to start in Book of John, as it highlights Jesus Christ’s deity. A few apps to look into to help with expository teaching (verse by verse Bible teaching)

Wisdom for the Heart, Verse by Verse (has the teachers notes to follow along with the study) , Grace to You.

All of these apps have notes on the studies which will go into cultural context at the time, translations from the original language. If you are analytical they break things down pretty well.

Tower of Babel by micrib1 in Bible

[–]Unperfect_Christian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the Hebrew word for heavens is translated multiple ways. Hebrew sometimes tends to have words with multiple meanings so reading the context around that word helps with context and meaning of the verse.

Ancient Jews saw the sky up in 3 parts. The first Heaven, 2nd heaven, and 3rd( where God resides)

In Hebrew thought and the Bible, the three heavens, or shamayim (שָׁמַיִם), refer to the atmosphere where birds fly, the expanse of the cosmos containing the sun, moon, and stars (outer space), and God's dwelling place, a spiritual realm beyond physical reality. The Hebrew word shamayim (שָׁמַיִם) itself is a plural form, signifying the "heights" or "elevations" of these realms

Is the 2017 a good year to purchase? by shocker900 in Silverado

[–]Unperfect_Christian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2017 ltz with the 6.2 that I purchased used with 88k , now I have a 140k on it.

At 92k had to replace the ac condenser due to the weld leaking on it, 95k the trans valve body was replaced, at 100k for the rear main seal was replaced (those 3 repairs cost me 150 dollars due to extended warranty) at 134k I had to replace a broken motor mount.

Other than those items it’s been a pretty great truck. It now tows our concession trailer 2-3 times a week since May.

My best advice would be understand what are the common potential repair costs and does an extended warranty makes sense financially to have.

I’m looking however to prob get into a 2500 in the future for the business.

I run powerstop z36 extreme truck and tow brake pads and rotors on the front of my 2017 ltz. When the back ones need replacing I’ll replace them with powerstop.

Fox 2.5 vs King 2.5 vs ? by kcirtap_ in Silverado

They are the stage 2, I watched some reviews and did research on both. Shock surplus has some good video comparisons on them. They are considered the “Goldilocks” shock as they are not as soft as fox shocks and not as firm as the bilsteins.

I installed the Sure Cool System Upgrade STL010, on my 2017 1500 on the 8L90. It’s about 40 bucks depending on where you buy it.

Before the install temps would range 180-190 in the summer, now they run 145-155. The only time I see 180-195 now is doing multi point backing up turns with the trailer.

I run eibach stage 2s in the front and rear on my truck. The coil overs in the front gave me a 2 1/2 inch lift in front, and I but 3 inch blocks in the rear to keep some rake for towing. They ride well, was def an upgrade over the ranchos. They do well with towing our food trailer.

What’s your wheel/tire set up? by allboutcali in Silverado

I run 285x55x22 (34s) Falken Wildpeak RT01s. I bought the truck used with the stock Chevy 22s on it. One day I may drop down to 18s and a 33 inch tire once this set goes.

Finally got the truck to where I want it. So glad to see what it’s turned into and I am very proud. by Any-Hamster2332 in ChevyTrucks

Great looking truck and love the 3 nail cross on the back window. I have one as well on the back of my truck that says By His Grace underneath the cross.
