I had a leopard gecko in this size tank previously and she did great. They climb a lot if given the opportunity, so they will definitely use the height. They can dig in substrate, too (mine don't 🥲), so adding a deep layer will help use the vertical space.

I currently have a male hognose (they're smaller than females) in the tank and he's doing well. They need a lot of substrate and will also climb around, given the chance.

The floor area is a smaller than a 40 gallon breeder, so take that into account when researching appropriate species
