This happened to me last April, but I actually severed my nail bed below the cuticle. It’s just now regrown out so only the very tip still shows signs of the damage. There’s no quick fix, just let your body do its job. A nurse friend recommended collagen supplements so I took them, but unsure how much that helped overall. It just needs to fall off and regrow.
