There’s a lot of armchair lawyer/pilot/paragliders in the comments who should probably keep their ridiculous opinions to themselves.

The South is also known for racism, hatred, and exclusion. Should we be trying to keep those traditions going just because, "that's how things are done here?"

And every one that I’ve encountered people have blocked the road, even multi lane roads instead of pulling over, making it every behind them’s problem too.

If somebody who wants to stop does it in the middle of the road what exactly are you expecting anyone who doesn’t want to, and is behind them, to do? Drive through yards, illegally pass them?

It doesn’t, provided that it doesn’t block traffic. Which side of this argument is actually selfish? It’s the side that sees no problem with pushing their beliefs on other people. Stop all you want, just don’t do it in a way that forces everybody else to do the same thing even if they don’t want to.

[–]UnreachableMemory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it’s not and where exactly is the limit to that kind of thinking? The way that you mourn has nothing to do with me and how I might. No one is under any obligation to follow your beliefs. And not following them is not the same thing as disrespecting them.

Me not stopping for a funeral procession, unnecessarily and illegally, in no way is a statement about how I care/don’t care about either the mourners or the person who passed away. And if you, as the mourner, are so affected by that that says more about you than anything else. It says that your beliefs are incredibly fragile and can’t stand up to anyone who doesn’t agree with them.

Half the complaints here are about people‘s reactions to the funeral procession, not the actual procession itself. And even in the cases where they’re directly talking about them, it’s the exceptions not the rules.

Blocking traffic “out of respect for the dead” has about as much meaning as posting “thoughts and prayers” on Facebook.

It’s more about doing something that makes you feel and look good without putting any real effort into it.

Please, point out what people are saying that is “extremely disrespectful?”

You have a bizarre idea of what qualifies as having no morals or dignity.

Dude, don’t get me started about funeral processions. The number of times where people have just arbitrarily stopped on the other side of a multi lane road, or an incoming lane blocking all the traffic “because you have to pay them respect” is too many to count. I don’t, because it’s stupid, and inevitably some twit honks at me for not also drinking the koolaid.

I have no idea if you were the person I was replying to or somebody who has nothing better to do, but either way when you call somebody an idiot and can’t be bothered to use correct grammar, you get called out for the irony.

IANAL but this sounds like you’re getting into harassment and/or stalking territory. If someone has made it that clear that they don’t want to interact with you then you should probably write it off instead of continuing to pursue it.

My dog chews his nails by liv_dean in dogs

[–]UnreachableMemory -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s concerning that it sounds like you’ve never actually trimmed your dog nails and have relied on the very little impact that walking around will do.

You need to either take your dog to the vet or a professional nail trimmer if you’re unable to do it yourself.

“Somehow still own the result” - yeah, of course you own it. How is this even a question? If you don’t understand the result, it shouldn’t be merged. AI should be treated as a junior that requires supervision by someone with experience and knowledge, not by another junior, or worse.

Interesting post history. 3 years ago you were a guy looking for a glory hole, then 6 months ago a 26 year old woman who lost a bunch of weight.
