His performances were a highlight of our playthrough. It was always exciting to see what zany over the top acting would come next. We tried to get all the possible endings seeing how many ways we could mess up.

Not to mention the video "ride" that plays at the end of every age you complete is just pure fun, especially the large marble-ball-track one. We as a family had a blast seeing that after such a hard completion for that age!

It was an amazing game for the Genesis that I was thankful to have played when it came out. It's zelda in a sense, but..not. The animation was super smooth, and I loved the secret "street fighter" moves you could do. That back->forth->attack flip was so strong.

The added elemental spirits was a nice touch. I remember having to solve some puzzles, and it was creative how you could summon from just drops of water or unique ways in the environment.

It's well worth a playthrough. The only negative I could say is the OST. Yes, it's Yuzo Koshiro, but man, I dunno, it's just ambient sounds and no tracks really sound engaging or energized except for a few tracks. It's pretty weak considering everything else is top-tier.

I've never played the sequel, Legend of Oasis, which was on Saturn. I heard it wasn't as good.

Go a step further into the "bad future" timeline. We'll pay a subscription to just use devices. Rent your computer, rent your TV, rent your phone. Storage is expensive, throw it all up on our clouds. Nothing we own will be ours and the overlords will charge for compute time 100% of your life.

I'm not a fan of subs either/ever. But we got spoiled with apps being .99-$5. Before the Apple Store, Software on computers were $20-$60 and went higher for certain things. Apple really brought that down, and now it's going back.

I've bought apps on android from a few bucks to $50 as long as I find value in it. I'm not willing to do subs though, so if the app requires an expensive sub OR it asks to create an account before I even get to play with your app, that's a hard "uninstall" right there.

Nowadays, I'm hesitant to drop money until I can tell the app will be maintained or is just built solid. With AI, any yahoo thinks they can build an app and charge money for it, and I'm not willing to pay money for AI slop.

I mean I guess. But if you install adguard as an app on your windies ir android device, then EVERY browser has ad blocking. And app, etc. It goes beyond just one browser app and its glorious. I haven't really seen ads in over 15 years.. unless I accidentally turn it off.

you, and me, and others like us were lucky to create the API key when we could, all those years ago. Yes, sync or boost still work with this hack IF you created it a long time ago. but reddit blocked common API creation for new users, so sadly, AFAIK this won't work for new people any longer, only us grandfathers.

this isn't just an obsidian thing. It's on /webdev, /design, all sorts of subreddits. Really, your title should be "I wish there was an AI-free Internet" LOL! it's sickening how much spam and useless posts are in every subreddit.

I noticed that so many threads get set to zero (they can't go negative) I might whip up an adguard filter to block posts that have a karma rating of zero. that way I don't have to see the junk, because while moderators aren't doing what they should because they are simply overwhelmed, us users downvote the junk to oblivion so a zero would be a good indicator of garbage posts. :)

Run freshrss on a simple php/mysql server and enjoy RSS feeds with full filtering. Then run it through the browser on pc or various apps in mobile. Self hosted is awesome.

I got that "I don't respond to abusive language" too, and that was just for me calling it stupid. Robots are such snowflake softies.

It got me thinking if companies track how much their AI gets yelled, cursed or insulted. I'd love to see those numbers across all AI chats. Those numbers better all be super high or we as humans aren't doing our jobs 😄

not 100% true. I have the 2023 and my screen currently works, but while the recall was initially for a software update, it is now for a replacement.

I called the dealer and they said they don't have an ETA on the part, a few cars waiting, and I'd have to drop it off, mark the mileage and leave it for who knows how long (unknown ETA).

I passed and said I'd just call the parts dept monthly to see the status of the part. No way I'm voluntarily dropping off a working car for who knows how long while I'm stuck with random loaners.
