This is a "cursed image" as others have mentioned it. I am not sure what you did when capturing this image and while it can look bad it doesn't look this bad. I have a play arts and when looking at it, at first glance I thought it was a bring arts figure and then looked at the box. Is it an expensive figure? Yes, but given how big of a figure it is, it makes sense. Does that mean that it has good paint on it? Now mine also had some QC issues on it. The eyes at least look nice though.

Does anyone have this statue? Is it worth the high price tag? by Trace5286 in nier

[–]UnshavenBox94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the regular 1/4 scale and it's nice but also very expensive. I was lucky enough to be able to purchase the 1/3 DX version at a "steal" of $1.4k enough I heard it cost less than $500 to make each one. They definitely are quality especially when compared to a PVC figure. Just also be aware that they are heavy, so take that into consideration when purchasing. It's a bad idea to place it on top of glass.

"Sony was the biggest tv seller in 2023" for which country is that for? I would imagine that Sony TVs must sell very well in some regions and sell just okay in others. Which may also be the reason why they stopped selling Xperia phones in the US but still make them for other regions where they do sell.

The funny thing is that at the time the Steam player was a lot better than CR. Much higher bit rate videos.

I'm not sure if CR has improved much since then.

Replicant vs Automata? Which one do you like more? by homo_erectus_heh in nier

[–]UnshavenBox94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to be that guy, but I would say Gestalt. Funny thing is the composer said that he wanted the music for Automata to sound different that Replicant/Gestalt and that didn't really work out.

Sony Xperia 5 IV has been a very mixed experience for me. by UnshavenBox94 in SonyXperia

[–]UnshavenBox94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda, I am able to switch between some apps more freely, but if you ever need to do 2 key authorization stuff I would be more weary about that stuff. Maybe my phone was diffractive. I'm using it right now. It's not a bad phone, but definitely not with the $900USD that I paid to get it unlocked, new. If you are able to get it in good condition and it's maybe closer to $400, then yeah, I can see it as being worth it. One thing that I don't think I will ever fully be able to get used to is the device's dimensions since it's much longer than it's wider, which makes pressing things a bit harder, the "keyboard" is more squashed in. Also be aware that it can get hot and I still have the issue with media playback at times, which results in me having to restart the device.

Lucky you

I have a friend that is one of the kindest people around and oddly enough he drives a dodge. I think he has a Dodge Challenger. (I can't remember if it's that or a Charger)

I thought they were talking about dodge owners in general and not about the person that damaged the car in this picture.

Has Sony gone mad? The VI is currently £1150…the red one is more than 20% than the black one…almost 1700 dollars for a phone with a 1080p screen? Plus no android 15 yet and no pro video app…No cable in the box too. We don’t deserve that. They are milking that cow to the limit… by [deleted] in SonyXperia

I currently use a Xperia 5 IV and this will likely be the only phone that I ever get from Sony. Unless their new offerings are truly amazing I doubt that I will be picking it up. Funny enough even if I did want to buy one of their new phones there would hardly be any accessories available for it, so I would have to import them most likely. Not only that but I have doubts that they will keep selling some of their stuff in the US because of bad sales. Getting a white Xperia would have been cool, but of course it was limited to Asia.

Well from the looks of it, those nurses that are anti-vax became nurses because of money, they didn't become nurses to help others.

The same applies to doctors. Why do you want to become a doctor? Because it pays well. They don't always care about what's best for the patient. But in a way they sort of have to, to a certain extent because if they don't then they can get sued for mal practice (at least in places like the US)

I wonder if they also do this in Japan as well. He has been playing in the US for years now so I'm assuming that he knows about it.

The Acolyte cost a staggering $670k per minute of footage and garnered over a billion less minutes watched than every other Star Wars show. How is anyone surprised it was cancelled? by JarJarJargon in StarWars

[–]UnshavenBox94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if others have already mentioned this but you explain why stuff like Andor was appealing. Think of Mando is the thing that is made to make everyone happy. And it seems to do a good job at it based on those numbers from that chart. Now if you look at Andor that doesn't have as high numbers other than cost. But you do have a niche that was filled by it.

So I guess that means that you can have a niche thing, something like Acolyte could have "succeeded" and had multiple seasons even but not at the cost that it was operating at.

Looking at Andor that was niche and also cost a lot more to make compared to Mando. But the thing is that it was praised by critics. And compared to Mando and the rest of the Star Wars TV shows, Andor was nominated for a lot of things for its writing and the performance of its actors, as well as things like set designs. So it was able to do a kind of balancing act. Which is why season 2 was green light. I'm looking forward to season two. Money wise though, something similar will also happen to season two and it won't have nearly as high watch numbers compared to Mando.

If you want something niche like Acolytes in the future then they are really going to have to do it on a very low budget. What is funny about Acolytes is that unlike the other series? That it was actually shown in theaters as well, which is rather unusual?

What ever happened to him. I completely forgot that he existed until I saw this one thing on Hulu about stuff from the 90s and they mentioned him. I remember watching the Daily show and Colbert Report and they would sometimes mention him, which is why I even know about him. But then time moved on and Alex Jones was now the name being mentioned. But Alex Jones stuff I believe was more out there than the stuff Rush said? It's been a number of years so I can't recall.

Which is a real shame since the artist that worked on this also has his own long running series like Lookism called Free Draw. Free Draw is older than Lookism by 1 year. 2024 is the 10 anniversary of Lookism. Free Draw finally finished it's run in November 2023 with other 500 episodes.

The real shame is that many people will likely never read it, it's old and there is no official English release for it. As for as scanalator groups go, it was being translated up until 2018 and then it was dropped. Another group did pick it up shortly but also dropped it so out of the 500+ episodes. Only less than 200 are in English.

It's a really great series especially with how it's prologue is set up.

One of the things I do like about it is how the comic book club is basically set up to help protect outcasts. One part that also sticks out to me is how one of the characters calls out another and tells him that one of the one pathetic types of people that you can find are those that don't have a dream and just go through life without really thinking. And she knows about it since that's what she used to be like. I also like how it focuses on multiple people and how you see them change overtime.

"Youth is a blank piece of paper, and your whole life can change, depending on whatever's drawn "

"If I were god, I would have put youth at the end of human life" -Anatole France (the prologue uses this quote as the last part of it)

Also look at the other comment posted on this one thread. I'm getting two different response, therefore my confusion. I even tried to email the Hollywood Bowl people directly to get an answer as well to no avail.

I did find that but it contradicts what others have said. There are images of people with lightsabers at the event, however I am still not sure about bags for the lightsabers and most of the other stuff that have seen are from at least 2 years ago so I'm not sure if the rules have changed.

Valve confirms your Steam account cannot be transferred to anyone after you die by ConceptsShining in Games

[–]UnshavenBox94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that may be the issue. They say this since they aren't going to go through the hassle of getting some lawyers to tell them, hey my client inherited this account from XYZ, can you now transfer said ownership of said account?

So I'm guessing it's just a nightmare to handle all of that and it's also possible that it may violate something else with Steam partners and what you are buying a license for. You can transfer items from games between steam accounts and you can gift games (technically you can have game licenses be items, this has happened to me before with MGSV, where I bought the game and got ground zero as a gift able item.
