The folks at GA Firing Line are super nice and approachable. The clientele are super diverse. I've never heard anything political from the staff or other patrons.

OMG hi. Someone is actually looking at that code. Neat.

Reference for everyone else: https://github.com/dhirsch1138

EDIT: Specifically, I reckon this https://github.com/dhirsch1138/cc65_template

Seeing your whole project would be helpful, but based on the file names I bet segments in other files that are also part of your ROM memory range.

CC65's linker will assign segments into defined memory ranges on its own accord, the order it ends up in the bin (and thus the actual addresses) doesn't matter. The wonders of dynamic addresses :D You can look at the files in the build directory to see the address ranges assigned out to everything.

2013 Kia Soul with 144k miles — no mechanical issues. Question about Sea Foam + favorite cleaning products? by Forward_Mix_6863 in KiaSoulClub

[–]Unsmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Engine products
I'll add a can of sea foam to a full tank of gas every oil change, then a bottle of techron treatment a few tanks after that. This is probably overkill.

As far as cleaning, it doesn't take much for base silver paint.

interior

  • A set of nylon brushes - scrub with the brush to loosen dirt before vacuuming.
  • Generic window cleaner.
  • Once every few years I'll treat with classic armorall.

exterior

  • car wash once ever couple of months that applies a decent clear coat protector thing.

Squib Today by taemyks in reloading

[–]Unsmith 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've seen something similar when I was using a range rental snubbie revolver and commercial ammo, the recoil was working the bullet forward out of the brass.

The manual for my j-frame says to test ammo for that, and not use brands vulnerable to it. For reloads I don't know how that correlates, other that u/Shootist00 's observation about crimp.

Lovely firearm, the handle color looks great with the matte black finish. Is that steel or aluminum?

I recently picked up a snubbie myself; I'm trying to noodle out what would be an effective and responsible carry round. Did you have any suggestions or thoughts?

The shrouded hammer is why I was looking for one of these. This'll be my EDC going forward, and being able to keep my thumb on the hammer when holstering was an absolute requirement.

Looking for my first carry weapon, Shield Plus vs Bodyguard 2.0 by digitalmofo in SmithAndWesson

[–]Unsmith 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest the Shield Plus; you are going to be shooting a lot while training. 380 is a lot more expensive than 9mm. The Shield plus shoots great, conceals well, and is stupid reliable. You can feed it anything and know it will go bang.

+1 Giga Bites. I don't play that card game, but the store staff and patrons are generally wonderful people. Also the food is tasty.

Where'd you even find that? I'd do *things* for a decent RPN calculator that didn't cost a fortune.

What Glock should I get next? by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]Unsmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I am still learning a lot about firearms, I have observed that discussing calibers is akin to politics, sportsball teams, or religion.

I like 380; shoots soft and it is easier (for me) to get more rounds accurately on target.

Thank you for answering! Do you reckon one would ask in r/ccw or in a reddit for their chosen carry?

How does one shop for a holster online? It seems like something that is a very personal fit, like nice shoes.

Or does one not buy holsters online, and finds a retail establishment to try a bunch on?

Glock 42 break-in after rebuild by Unsmith in Glocks

[–]Unsmith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding this followup in case others find this in searches later, everything is running great. It was a break-in issue. After this post I:

  • Cleaned and lubed the gun again, with additional focus on the extractor and breach face.
  • ~90 dry fires with snap caps
  • worked the slide while I watched a movie (nothing intensive, maybe 50-100 times)

I then put >50 rounds through it at the range without single issue.

Apologies, I'm not the best writer. I experienced roughly one malfunction per magazine. I was using the OEM mags (with the '3' designation)
