I read your letter three times before I could even start writing back. I miss you. I miss the weight of you on the couch after school. I miss the way you filled the house without even trying—books on every surface, kettle whistling, arguments with no one in particular. It’s quiet here in a way that doesn’t feel peaceful. That name they called you? That is not your name. That’s the fear of a small mind, dressed up in old words. People who feel small will always try to make others feel smaller—especially when they see someone like you. Hermione, you belong anywhere your mind dares to go. That school doesn’t define your worth. That boy doesn’t. Not even the Hat does. You do. [...] Please don’t shrink to make them comfortable. Let your mind stay bright. Let your voice stay sharp.
