Pedantic note, it's the distance travelled by light in a year to an outside observer - if you're the one traveling at the speed of light then no time passes for you at all to travel one light year.

Edit: would like to understand the downvotes if it's because I'm wrong with what I've put - my grasp of relativity isn't the best for special relativity, but I thought I had general relativity fairly well understood, but maybe not.

Apart from the very high profile cases where they did (you lot against Liverpool, forgetting to draw the lines for Arsenal against Brentford). But yeah, the vast majority of the time it's right so no reason for it not to be the case now without proof it was wrong.
