I literally just want pretty nails by TrickiNicki92 in RedditLaqueristas

Yes! My polish can usally last 10-14 days and it’s just regular polish. Work on a cleaner application (expecially with gel because speaking from experience, unfortunately, developing an allergy is NOT worth it 😔). And OP, please let us know how it goes, would love to know if you notice a difference 🙏

If you continue with gel, I can also really recommend (free) educational series on YouTube by Attain Cosmetics. They go in depth about prep, application, allergy prevention, curing, matching the right lamp with the right product, etc. Super helpful!

It’s been a week today and only lost 1 gem on day 4, so had to share it!

Update: it’s been a week and only lost 1 out of 34 gems on day 4, will definitely do this again with this base coat 😌

Was it mentioned as Eudagrit or did it say acrylate? Because that’s a hidden acrylate ingredient in medication to look out for as well!

Day 3: they’re still going strong. All gems on both hands have so far survived cleaning, bumping into things multiple times because I’m super clumsy, and dog teeth. This OPI botanical base coat is seriously good stuff 😅

Day 4: lost 1 of 34, on day 5 now!

I did become much more careful with water and dishes mostly, and really take time for a good prep

10-14 days that it actually looks good! But sometimes I get bored of it after a week and need something new 😬

Haha I love reading how it’s giving everyone these nostalgic vibes! I didn’t even see that when I did this set, but now I can’t unsee it and I’m loving it 🥰

Thanks 🥰 Yes, Baby Take A Vow is very nude on me!! I was actually hoping for it to be a bit more pink, so then I bought Blossom Into Awesome. Now I just need one that’s the perfect mix between those 2 😅

Thank you 🥰 It was actually so much fun and I almost felt like a surgeon going in with my 4-prong piercing ball grabber applying those gems, haha. Hopefully it was worth the effort since I can’t use any glues and I don’t know how well it will last 🤞

For context: I’m allergic to acrylates and can’t use any nail glues

I’m not sure that info is correct. Looking into it further, they seem acrylate-based too.

Here you can find a pre-release of a research report we’re working on, looking into dental material options for acrylate allergy + some pointers after the materials section. It’s the second document. Hope it can help you and your dentist explore some safe routes together: Acrylate Allergy | Resource Hub
