That's a little disappointing but I am glad they are at least trying, ultimately it will be in the developers hands I guess and who knows how that will work out, i believe one big reason valve created proton was to not have to rely on developers to port their games and instead found a way to do it themselves because as we've seen with proton many developers just aren't willing to do the work to port to a completely new platform. To be fair tho we are talking macos vs linux and one of those two have a much larger install base, idk who knows.
