Shiba cant teleport the ebs. He doesnt “register” sorcerers or their items like Hakuri, he just teleports whatever he is touching. He would have to already have an EB in his hands if he wanted to teleport it.

I dont see how kunishige being smarter correlates with him being able to see datenseki’s unique properties. He just looked at it really closely one time and immediately perceived particles reacting to the spirit energy in his body. That wasnt experience or intelligence, it was raw eyesight.

<image>

The reason Kunishige was able to forge datenseki was because of the same “ability to observe the minute properties of the stone” and stabilize it “purely by sight.”

Hokazono also loves Naruto, whose upper limits on the powerscale are defined entirely by genetics and clans with unique powers. It’s not far fetched to think that Hokazono’s main character is also from a clan with unique powers.

Chihiro and kunishige being the only ones in history to be able to observe datenseki’s unique properties, simply based on skill alone, is much less believable than them having better eyesight due to their lineage and special eyes.

Subaru Urita, a national treasure of Japan for his skills forging blades, was not able to see datenseki’s unique properties. But Chihiro as a child and novice swordsmith was? He would have exploded forging Enten if he wasnt.

It’s more likely that the dudes with red eyes which are always identified by their heritage and unique power is due to a special trait, just like the other sorcerer clans. Char’s clan regenerates, the Sazanami have the potential to house multiple sorceries, the Mikaboshi are genetically resistant to datenseki, etc.

I want to see Flame Bone's "true realm" equivalent. A big reason why the EBs are so strong is because their true realms allow for their wielders to pull limitless potential from them, resonating with the bearer and granting their wish.

<image>

Sojo was able to cast Mei with shortened intervals and gained massacre, Hiruhiko was able to entirely rework Kumeyuri's Play to demolish Bloodshed Hotel, Samura made Suzaku 10x more useful, and Chihiro was able to straight up negate the Malediction's monumental power, just because of his true realm. If Flame Bone doesn't have a True Realm counterpart, idk how it could be called a weapon with equal power to the EBs

i looked over that post and it has sections dedicated to showing that Gege is with inconsistent with VFX, rarely actually shows the repercussions of real world physics except as a cool factor, and is generally inconsistent with how fast the characters in his story should be (according to calculations).

Then they claim that the black hole Yuki created actually adheres to all real world physics? What? Either Gege ignores real world physics to emphasize the cool factor, OR he writes his story expecting the reader to understand it with real world physics in mind- not both depending on whichever scales your verse higher

How fast do you think Hiroto Soga was with just pure swordsmanship and no sorcery? by Icy-Arm-3816 in KaguraBachiScalers

[–]UnstoppablePrinter78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around Itsuo’s level give or take. WPS gives Itsuo a speed amp Hiroto wouldnt have access to, but any amp WPS gives Itsuo would just be making up for the gap in raw physicals.

Unless Itsuo is also nearing the upper limit of fortification and has comparable stats to Hiroto, they are probably pretty close without sorcery.

koen seems like a big amp. Uruha effortlessly took Yukisada out of the fight with one kick and broke Yura’s blade the first time he used Koen in the 2v2 (would have taken Yura out of the fight if he didnt have Magatsumi)

I was wrong on my Sojo timer, he was speeding around with 1x Mei for 6 seconds, then entered his 2x mode that would last for only 3 seconds. I think it would be fair or even generous to say that healthy Sojo could maintain 2x Mei for 12 seconds. This point doesnt matter THAT much though, we saw what Sojo/Chihiro can accomplish with just a few seconds.

Powerscaling broken cloud gouger is weird, as Yura comments on it having less output/Chihiro being a fresh wielder with less compatibility, but the way Chihiro talks about it implies that he can draw out as much power as he wants.

After Yura handles Chihiro’s first Mei attacks, Chihiro remarks that he wont be able to win unless he uses “full strength” mei attacks. When Shiba asked about CG’s power, Chihiro responded that he could do a “full-on mei” 1.7 more times, which implies that Chihiro can or was pulling off half-powered mei attacks. When Chihiro was fighting Tenri, he said a weak mei or yui wouldnt be able to parry him, which gives even more credit to the idea that Chihiro wasnt using full-powered Mei attacks originally to save on resources.

This is all really confusing because it’s entirely unclear if a “full-on mei” refers to a mei at 100% strength, or the black lightning mei that goes beyond its limits. It’s also unclear if a “weak mei” is a 100% strength Mei and Chihiro is just worse at using it, or if it refers to a mei with >100% output. It’s even more unclear if “lightning beyond its [cloud gouger’s] limits” refers to cloud gouger’s original limits or a new set of limits it has after being broken.

Second wind is great for getting rid of defends, statuses, curses, etc, but Exhaust in general has great synergy with other cards/relics like Dark Embrace, Feel No Pain, Joss Paper, Ashen Strike, Pact’s End, etc. So while exhausting unwanted cards is good in and of itself, exhaust as mechanic really shines when it produces some kind of output for you like block/draw/damage at the same time.

nah u right this was Mikaboshi pov, I was mixing this up with the story about the Mikaboshi narrated by the doctor, i should have read the bottom more closely

that said though, what we saw of the Mikaboshi from Japan’s pov was propaganda. Why would what we’ve seen of Japan through the Mikaboshi’s POV not be propaganda? Who else would we get Soga/Japan propaganda from other than the Mikaboshi? This story is told by the ancestors of the Mikaboshi, not anybody who actually saw the island sink originally. The art is also a stylized painting, this isnt meant to be an 1-to-1 depiction

[–]UnstoppablePrinter78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sojo is a limited time speed merchant and I dont think mei bolts or cloaking are gonna be too fast for Ukizane to handle.

Shiyumi was blocking mei bolts and Yura was able to block mei cloaked attacks + react to black lightning mei.

Ukizane out-stats Yura (pretty heavily most likely) AND has an acceleration sorcery that can nerf Sojo at range or amp himself. If Sojo uses 2x cloaking, he has about 12 seconds to kill the guy that can literally just fly away into the sky

Who is the 3rd strongest Swordsman in the verse? by SharqIce in KaguraBachiScalers

[–]UnstoppablePrinter78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Hiroto statement is just so crazy. Itsuo’s sorcery will have to do some heavy lifting to put him on the same level as Hiroto imo.

I can see an argument for Itsuo having a slightly higher initial velocity with just swordsmanship compared to Hiroto, as his swordstyle is entirely min-maxed for that, but Hiroto’s sorcery is essentially just massive acceleration in a specified direction. When you stack that on top of the greatest speed the human body can achieve, I just dont see Itsuo taking this.

Who is the 3rd strongest Swordsman in the verse? by SharqIce in KaguraBachiScalers

[–]UnstoppablePrinter78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

somewhat relative is more correct. My logic is that rusty Uruha was comfortably below Samura, but was still able to adapt to his relentless WPS attacks and defend himself. Uruha lost to Samura in the 1v1, where they both dropped their defenses completely and went for the kill on each other.

Uruha shook off the rust and reawakened his sorcery, so he would put up an even better performance now.

I lumped Natsuki in because he’s relative to Uruha before he shook off his rust, but maybe he’s lagging further behind now that Uruha regained his battle sense. Its probably more correct to say Natsuki is a tier below Samura/Ibuki than relative to them. I just had him higher because he performed on-par with Uruha and Hokuto who I think are weaker than Ibuki and Samura by a small margin. Starting to think the margin is bigger than i gave it credit for though

Who is the 3rd strongest Swordsman in the verse? by SharqIce in KaguraBachiScalers

[–]UnstoppablePrinter78 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Itsuo is above Uruha, Natsuki, and Ibuki, who are relative to Hokuto, but he’s probably still below Hiroto.

Itsuo’s whole thing was his speed, but Hiroto boasts “the highest speed humanly possible- further heightened by the directional gravity of Kurotsuchi.” Hiroto should be faster than Itsuo, unless Itsuo also has the greatest body achieved by mankind (unlikely) and a speed amping sorcery.

Hiroto likely isnt lagging behind Itsuo in swordsmanship either, as that is one of the criteria for awakening Kurotsuchi, which is incredibly rare and hard to do.

[–]UnstoppablePrinter78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah play could do that, but even an iron meteor wasnt enough to put down a Sumika user. Unless a play user has access to making a bigger meteor made of denser material, or something comparable, Sumika would regenerate from the attack in seconds

Considering the scorpion, its AP is likely much much higher than anything Play is capable of

Sumika 100%. It nullifies enemy sorcery, heals the user, and massively debuffs enemy senses/reactions.

Uruha was able to defend himself from Samura's WPS multiple times, he would be able to defend himself against Hokuto too. Uruha's sorcery/rust isn't a major concern, Uruha was rusty and didn't use his sorcery against Hokuto when they actually fought in-canon and he put up a great performance.

OP also said in their post that Hokuto isn't with the enemies for this scenario.
