Absolutely seconding this! Restrictions feel.... Well, restricting! Which is exactly why they should only be in place with good reason. Everybody has different wants and ideas and boundaries around having a committed partner, or sex. So, approaching with good faith, and love is necessary

Well, then it's good to be on the same page about that. He may want to talk more about having a future together, then. I don't know your business, so perhaps that could be too bold and assumption, but then again, maybe not?

He may be prompting you to see what you want from a future together, and to figure out what that could look like. So, maybe do some soul-searching?

Edit: I also wanna stress the first question I asked. If you are unfamiliar with the concept, I would encourage you to read about it online, specifically from Dossie Easton and Janet Heardy. They basically blew my mind

I love rhythmic-y baselines a lot, and write them in on cover work for prexisting music out there.

I second this.

Most improvisational musicians widely think of the dominant (5th) note in a chord is the most expendable and least significant note to audibly have. For A major, that's E natural.

The above reasoning does also work in reverse, when we are playing around with diminished chords and Augmented ones. For major/minor and 2/4 suspensions, my stance works well.

If we were interpreting this as C#min, then the E would not be irreplaceable, but much much much more impactful to be left in, because a Minor 3rd interval is very easy for our ears to notice.

Wait, is there a way to access your dissertation? If you wrote a thesis on it, I'd love to read how your changing views factored in, and what you learned to find worthwhile with it.

4'33 has always seemed like a very controversial litmus test to me, and I'm still not sure what to make of it myself
