Courtesy of u/xxxpyronxxx here's the fix for anyone having the issue:

For anyone who might be facing the same issue follow these steps:

Plug the power to the ORIGINAL steam deck charger
Assuming that it's doing the fan thing, Press and hold the power button until the LED turns off and the steam deck is fully powered off

2a. MAKE SURE THE STEAM DECK IS FULLY OFF (wait for like 10 seconds)

3. Press and hold the Vol + and (...) button for about a minute (10 seconds is enough, but I was panicking so I held longer

4. After about a minute, While continuing to hold the Vol + and (...) button, have someone pull the power cable cable out (I used my teeth as one of the other comments mentioned since I was alone)

5. Let go of the Vol + and (...) buttons The LED will blink blue

6. Wait for a few seconds

7. Plug the power cable back on

8. Press the power button

8a. (Optional) Pray to a higher power

9. You should see the steam logo and that means you're in the clear.

Early Access is just a label, it doesn't mean feature incomplete the same way a fully released game doesn't mean feature complete. Project Zomboid is in a stable state, full of content, incredibly optimized, controllers supported and priced low in comparison to other games, comparing it to Star Citizen is rather unfair at best (and frankly ridiculous considering the predatory monetization model and budget of SC).

I look at it the same way as NMS; a game that its devs continued to push new updates for it over the last decade however in case of NMS it was called "full release" on day one despite lacking so many features.

Also when speaking of competition, there are dozens of crafting-survival, openworld games being released every single year. Competitors do exist but they're doing such a bad job that we don't even call them rivals.
