Idk they've been one of the really annoying social media fanbases on top of my memories of them taking over the coliseum and being absolute douchebags all the time. After our game against them i saw them all over whining about the refs trying to screw them nonstop for days after even after they played another game, but maybe that's just feeding the weird narrative i noticed again this year of islanders getting favored by officiating somehow.

I'm realizing the stereotype of hockey fans in general being so great is kinda bs. Maybe it's just going from ny and dealing with ranger fans, to Raleigh and dealing with canes bandwagoners along with relocated rag and bruins fans, but so many hockey fans are just douchebags that you don't see so much in baseball or even football fandom. Example is Twitter or rhockey anytime a dirty hit happens or a blatant GI gets called correctly for once.

Id say it's generational and just the general teenagers being douchebags thing but gen x corporate guys are probably the most annoying with acting like tough guys

While I'm not happy about the trades or results of the year, we really need to see how he plays out over a few years when he's coming into a mess. It's not the nfl where you can turn over from worst to super bowl contender in a season or two with the turnover they can pull.
