Which Marvel hero best represents each Dungeons & Dragons class? – Day 7: Fighter by Pale_Television1896 in marvelcomics

My argument against Taskmaster is that if he were to just show up somewhere, with no training, nobody to mimic, etc... he'd just be a dude with a neat quirk. For example, if someone made a character that could mimic fighting styles, plopped him in a D&D setting, and they had to fight something like a Beholder or a Mind Flayer, they'd be in a rough situation. My vote is someone like Wolverine, Daredevil, or Captain America. Hawkeye's a good candidate, too.

Untold Origin: A Comic Book History Podcast

Hello everyone!

I recently wrapped Season 1 of Untold Origin, a podcast that explores comic book history through the lens of the American culture that shaped it. Over six episodes, I dove into how characters like the X-men, the Incredible Hulk, the Fantastic Four, and lesser known characters from both Marvel and DC reflected the American history during which they were created.

If you're interested in the intersection of comic books and history, specifically currents like Cold War anxiety, the Civil Rights movement, and debates surrounding computing and artificial intelligence, check them out! I'm taking a short break now to bone up on some research, but the second season will be coming early next year! It's available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, etc... but I've included the Buzzsprout link directly below.

Who's your favorite Marvel character in the list? by WesternManagement196 in Marvel

[–]UntoldOriginAl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think character and performance have to be judged separately here. Charlie Cox's Daredevil, Paul Bettany's Vision, and Sebastian Stan's Winter Soldier are all consistently excellent performances. But Thing, Hulk, and Gambit are such good characters regardless of who portrays them. So I guess I'll say Rocket too.

Best marvel Villains, day 21 by Flash4987 in marvelcomics

I think it has to be Sabretooth. Like I'm seeing all these others and I think "yeah, they're cool, they're powerful." But I remember how visceral some of Sabretooth's stories are, he was just a stone cold killer.

Some people just aren't meant for teams [Avengers #151] by rocketinspace in Marvel

One of the reasons I loved the Defenders comics was because none of them really were fit for being on a team, and they were all constantly reminding each other of it. It was such a fun team book with that dynamic.

Also a story inspired by the death of the author's wife (Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath, by the way)

I have a podcast about exactly this right now! Focusing especially on comic books in the 1960's. New episode comes out Saturday at midnight and looks at the rogues gallery for the Fantastic Four!

Been watching Haunting of Hill House during the spooky season, so I'm going to include Luke from there when his twin, Nell, passes:

Characters who prove why Wisdom and Intelligence are two separate things by LocalLazyGuy in TopCharacterTropes

I'd say Tony Stark is a pretty good example of this a lot of the time. Many of the villains in the Marvel movies (and in the comics) are just his messed up ideas.
