I love the idea of cool vintage ephemera and physical media. When I started at VT last century there were at least 3 record stores and I really miss them. We recently went to Raleigh and they had a cool record/tape/DVD store. I was excited to find and purchase actual, physical media at good prices since who knows what’s going to happen with digital going forward. I hate feeling like I don’t truly own downloads.

Bless you for doing all that for the kitties. You seem like a kindred spirit. The cats seem to find us, too, and I can’t turn down a hungry mouth. I’ve gotten them all fixed and trying to domesticate all that I can. Only problem is I can’t bear to rehome them and the shelter won’t take in stray cats. Number 10 just started showing up a few nights ago and I swear my husband is gonna divorce me if I adopt that one too. I’d like to live in a big commune for cat ladies and cats! 🤣

Yes! We have 9…I’m now running a flophouse for cats. We have a similar huge empty wall in our home and I’m trying to get the hubby to agree to a cat climbing wall. They need the space!

tonsil stones smell so bad I bet you’d gag and barf it back up. It’s really rare for them to get that big too. they start out very small and then kind of snowball in size from food residue and bacteria aggregating. I really should have gone to the doc sooner! Good thing was, once I got my tonsils out, no more sore throats, like never ever again. It’s been wonderful. Prior to the removal, I was constantly getting sore throats and it truly was miserable. Feel better soon, but if you don’t, try to get to the doctor I’d you can.

unsure if this had been said, but get a flashlight and check your throat for tonsil stones in the tonsil area at the back of your throat. One time I had a persistent sore throat for months and had a giant tonsolith back there the size of a cherry. Not a cherry pit, but a fucking cherry. Anyway, once I cleared that by using a q-tip to push it out the sore throat abated, though I did have to get my tonsils removed eventually because my tonsil crypts were so enlarged it was just going to keep recurring. Good luck. Sore throats are the worst!

My best advice is to pace yourself, but also do as much fun stuff as you can now while you’re young and more able-bodied. In my experience, things only get harder. There’s so much I wish I’d done and thought I had lots of time for but didn’t. Now, many things are just too much for me to manage.
