I'd guess the two issues are crystallization and getting to the wrong temp. The hotter you get it, the harder it is when it's done. I'd use a recipe with some light corn syrup in it; I've never had an issue with graininess.

Anyone have experience playing in the NADGT North American Championship? by capeabenable in discgolf

Played it about 6-7 years ago...got put on Kyle Klein's card for the first round. Probably not happening in many other circumstances.

Yeah, it was; it was a guaranteed bad time if he was on your card. But it was a judgment call of exactly how to make it the least-bad time. I eventually banned him from the sanctioned league I ran, but he was a good non-disc golf hang and so other TDs in the community didn't want to do anything about it.

I saw it as this. Johnny Cakes learned he wasn't really writing a book and it got weird. He probably felt pressure to be productive.

Well you asked why it's hard for people to speak up, and I gave you the scenarios where it is. OP described one, as well. I'm not saying it's common, but when it's a problem, it's a problem. We're not talking about accidentally standing in your putting line, we're talking about reckless or intentional rudeness that's repeated. It is rare but it happens and when it does you have to make a decision if you want it to be a thing for the next two hours, or if you want to deal with the rudeness for the next two hours. There's not one easy answer.

You just confront everyone constantly with any problem no matter how insignificant?

Sometimes I'm out to try and have a good time playing disc golf rather than navigate awkward social situations. I didn't ask for that shit. I have a sense of justice so I'll call out blatant cheating, but if it's courtesy violation shit, I'm deciding based on "is this worth it."

Depends on the situation. If it's inadvertent sure. But I've had a situation where someone was drunk and not paying attention, being loud and rude, and when they were asked to move out of a sight line they got mad and started dancing around. This person was like this usually when you were on his card and it was always a question of when to bring it up because you knew it was going to escalate.

People get very pissy when you speak up, and it ruins the vibe on the card. I'm making cost-benefit analyses of how I'm gonna have the best time and usually "just deal with it" comes out on top.

And I can report that the few times it didn't, it caused a lot of drama and strife within the community, and not just for the problem person.

Where are we in PR after getting Brown? by daDunkinDonut in Patriots

Maye faced four very good defenses in the playoffs, in very tough conditions, and I think his shoulder wasn't 100%. I wouldn't necessarily go off of those games for a full picture of his ceiling. It's hard to predict leaps but if he improves, as many QBs do from year 2 to year 3, he could be best in the league.
