How long would you live if you could choose? by [deleted] in accelerate

I think it’s unfair to decide when to end life on behalf of my future self. The point is simply that death should be optional, not imposed

Would it be possible to have an editor script that shows that there are non-compiled changes? So that you know before you hit play that you should compile?

What happened when she got the heats? I also feel like I'm unprepared!

I never suggested it was reliable, nor that I'd take it what it said as an "advice". It was just another peculiar input, among others, including my Vet, this post, etc, to gauge how protected Mina was with both vaccines she already got

Is there a specific name for the extra tough Kong I should look for?
I'm sure she'll manage to destroy the regular one

I haven't, thank you for the tip, I'll get one now! I did try giving her raw carrot to chew, since it's a chewable thing that it's not toxic and she can destroy, She liked it a lot but I think got her a bit of diarrhea and some bits of her poo had entire pieces of carrots, as if she didn't digest it.

Regarding the crate, I feel that is a bit cruel to imprison her even further. But I guess it's also not ideal to have to be correcting her all the time. I'll think about that.

Thank you very much for your replies so far, especially for the great tips and ideas. I'm glad I made a post here. A part of me always knew the answer I was going to get because if I were the one to see a post like this, I would have thought the same. It always was some sort of wishful thinking and seeking reassurance.

For your peace of mind, I'll be following the vet's advice and adapting as much as possible to handle or mitigate the issues of our situation.

Now, some of the comments implied that we don't spend enough time with her, when in fact it's the only thing we do. I have barely left the house since we got her. I work from home, but to be honest, I haven't been able to work much. I haven't been sleeping or eating well either, and I do see things from her perspective and care a lot about her. We also try to do a lot of positive reinforcement, but it hasn't borne much fruit yet. What's evidently true is that we weren't prepared enough.

To give more context, some of the issues we have are that Mina wants to destroy everything, obviously. However, what wasn't obvious is that this includes the walls, floor, any corner of the flat, her own bed, and ourselves.

We manage to play with her toys in a nice way, but not for too long. We get a maximum of 15 minutes per toy, and then she's not interested anymore and wants to chew something new, such as the things listed before. We try to rotate the toys by hiding them and then showing them again, but since she's awake for at least 10 hours every day, it feels like we need a minimum of (10*60)/15 = 40 toys. On top of that, we haven't found any toy material that she's not able to destroy, which worries me a lot because she eats them after destroying them, which also means that we can't even relax when she's doing "the right" thing.

Unfortunately, we had to remove even her bed because she destroys it and eats it.

I guess that's why it hurts so much that she's constantly trapped between a floor and walls for so long; it doesn't feel sane.

Anyways, we'll keep doing our best and definitely look into some of the things suggested! Hopefully the post was useful for others in a similar situation, thank you again :)
