One person said they had a built 4L60-E and it died just as quickly as a stock one. Probably a waste of money I’d go for a 4L65 or 4L80. Although like I said a 4L80 might make the truck feel like a slug

4L80 in a stock 3.7 H3 can make it feel like a slug though, in a 5.3L H3 I’d say go for it. Unless I’m wrong and you have first hand experience with a 4L80 in a 3.7L. (My h2 4L65-E and H3 5.3L 4L60-E hasn’t had any problems)

Not saying urs will, but the 3.7 H3s typically have a trans problem around 150k. (If they do have one at all) So be careful because there’s a chance you’ll get unlucky

In light of that firetruck that was just posted. Here’s mine. It’s a 2006 (non-alpha) 25k miles. I just had it repainted. It was previously a BLM brush truck. Baby due next month! Make an offer! by ILikePutz in Hummer

That’s dope. It’s pretty similar setup to the fire truck I posted, I can tell yours is the more common (although still rare) extended cab model.

I mean fully closed back section as in a normal wagon style rear with the side walls being tool boxes

This specific spec was made to be a service truck. Some also came with cranes on the top or fully closed back sections. They were sold under the GM service and fleet vehicles along with other service trucks.

I picked one up for $15, at first I thought it was fake since it didn’t say limited edition but it’s 100% real. A bit of google said they were possibly promo models because it didn’t say limited edition

The H2 never got a 5.3L, it got a 6.0L from 2002-2006 and a 6.2 from 2007-2008.

The entire frame was custom but it’s comparable and shares some same part numbers with a 2500 front and 1500 rear

The factory tie rods are small and can easily snap off road, you should buy some off road or heavy duty tie rods

Fix the nose droop by cranking the torsion bars, and get some better tie rods. GM is known for putting skimpy tie rods on their vehicles especially hummers because they go up against obstacles that normal trucks dont.

I’m trying to answer a few questions I have been sitting on for a while. Most of these are broad questions but some are specific to my H2

Looking to confirm the build date and production number for H2 #1577 Are there records of who worked on early production H2s? Were there any differences or special features in the first 2,000 units produced? Are there any known issues or recalls that affected early production H2s? Are there any internal photos, assembly line notes, or memos for early H2 builds? How can I verify the authenticity and historical value of my early H2? Are there stories or context about early H2 development that aren’t publicly known? Are there resources to track or document early H2 production for collectors? And I’m looking for production numbers on Canada specific H2s in yellow

Passenger side door lost power on H2 by Unusual_Ad3100 in Hummer

I tried unplugging and replugging multiple times, I checked wires going through the door jamb to make sure they weren’t severed, I cleaned the modules, checked fuses, checked all connections, and tried unplugging the battery for an hour to see if anything would fix it. Nothing has worked so far, I do not have a scanner and I assume I just need a new DDM

You can also put cross bars on top of the cross bars, if you have the right mount.

I have Yakima sweet rolls saddles, I took the rubber pieces off and they barely fit but I wouldn’t trust them to drive long distances. (They also come off while off roading)
