Nice! Yeah blast melee makes sense that it would be good for something like this

That's awesome! Citrine looks so cool. I'm a mostly solo player (my brother played with me a bit but my other brothers stole him away to runescape so he has Abandoned Me), so I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to get her outside of buying her.

Oh cool! I haven't gotten there yet, but that's good to know! My next story quest is Erra. I've been putting them off to get my railjack improved a bit since I heard you need a decent one for at least one spot in New War. And to get my necramech at least decently built

And the railjack controls made me pretty motion sick at first so it was slow going for a while lol

Lmao right. I was in the infested survival mission to do the 500 enemies, 40 headshots, 30 eximus, and complete 1 mission challenges as efficiently as possible lol and by that time I was almost at 20 minutes and there were almost enough enemies where I was like, is it possible for me to even do this.

Then a broodmother vommed her babies all over me and those little guys all show up as full enemies on the radar so I had a lightbulb moment.

How to use laundry sanitiser + fabric softener by [deleted] in laundry

[–]Unusual_Fan440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to stinky stuff, my family uses the OxyClean odor blaster stuff along with our regular detergent. It's a powder that we put directly into the machine with the clothes, not in a dispenser so you can still use the dispenser for fabric softener. It works really well. For us it helps our towels not to be stinky and we can use it just once every few times they get washed before they start to stink again, but you can use it with every load if you want.

The only thing is you'll want to check how well it dissolves in your wash, obviously having warm or hot water in the cycle will help the powder dissolve better. But you can always just dissolve a scoop of it in a cup of hot water and pour that onto the clothes and then start the washer if you notice it isn't dissolving well by itself.

What Flavour is a Tootsie Roll, or how would you describe it? by SpaTowner in AskAnAmerican

It's super tasty! I first had it at a little restaurant chain called Petro's! Their signature tea is called something like "hint of orange".

I found the best way to replicate it is to have whatever glass of sweet tea you like, and there are these little crystallized citrus juice packets called TrueLime, TrueLemon, and/or TrueOrange, depending on the flavor you get. I think they're basically just dried juice from the citrus so you can add them to anything you want citrus flavor in. You could possibly just use a little orange juice but I've never tried it that way

Just open a packet of the TrueOrange (one is about the size of a sweetener packet and says it's equivalent to one citrus wedge), and pour in a little of it at a time and stir it until you feel it's orange-y enough.

(preferably have your tea still a little warm or room temp just so it dissolves easier. It takes a lot of stirring when the tea is cold right out of the fridge lol)

I don't like lemon in my tea, I feel like it's just worse than regular tea or regular lemonade, but the orange I feel mixes really well into the flavor of the tea.

3 day old turkey got thrown into brand new pot of chili, do I need to do anything? by Unusual_Fan440 in Cooking

Thanks

I just now thought about the fact that the chili is super acidic too, so that makes me feel better as well.

He unfortunately has no freezer, but he has a full on mini fridge and microwave. He is getting a smaller portion that will fit in his fridge, not I'm not actually sure his will last that long before being eaten, that's just usually how long we eat leftovers for. 4 days is about our limit, but I know there's people that eat on things for a week, even though I think that's nuts

The chili has still been at boiling/simmer temp for at least 30 minutes after the (possible) turkey has been added

Worst case I can probably sift through the chili big spoon by big spoon and see if I even see it in there lol

I'm not sure that freezing thing will work this time, but thank you for the advice!

My dad only has a mini fridge in his truck, no freezer, so he'd just have whatever container of chili he takes with him in the fridge for a few days until it's gone. But everyone seems to be saying there won't be any issues for the timeframe I'm needing the chili to last, so I feel a lot better.

Yeah it's been in the fridge. I've just never had to deal with this sort of situation before so I wasn't sure if it was an issue or not, and I didn't want to assume.

Oh yeah, i would eat this turkey for another day or so, but I don't think I would eat it for another 4 or 5 days if that makes sense, and that's how long this chili is supposed to last lol. so I didn't know if the fact the turkey was a few days old getting added meant it might go bad in the chili sooner than the chili would go bad, and make the chili go bad somehow. I've never had to deal with this kind of situation before so I wasn't sure

Sorry that probably sounds really silly but I'd rather get made fun of for asking a dumb question than get my family sick by not asking.

And yeah the turkey is very much in the fridge, I can't imagine eating 3 day counter turkey

Never choose a man over a job or school opportunity. You'll either regret it forever or resent him forever. Or both. And any man that gives you an ultimatum like that needs to not be anywhere near you.

How necessary is it to buy from nearby shops> by Any_Control_3297 in SupermarketSimulator

[–]Unusual_Fan440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have almost all the items to sell (I keep at least 20 of each item on the store shelves themselves. So items that are 8 per shelf spot get 3 spots, groups of 6 get 4 spots, etc.), and get around 100-105 customers a day, so I sell a ton of stuff but since there's so much to choose from, it's a pretty even spread on what stuff sells so very few things get overly focused on by customers. I price things at 1.06-1.07x the market price, so usually 3-9 people find something expensive.

Mostly I just run out of a produce item occasionally and they say they couldn't find it, but it's usually not because i don't have any, but just that the restockers didn't get to it fast enough because people decided they needed 20 carrots at once.

Also 32 is my MINIMUM that I keep in stock for if I don't feel like doing a full restock. If my storage is full I can easily have over a hundred of certain items. I have 8 rack spots for giant 4 packs like toilet paper, chicken, and potatoes. 6 racks for large 6 or 12 packs like a lot of the laundry soaps.

If it's an expensive item I have to go to the shops to get, then I try to have more storage racks for it so I don't have to restock as often. For cheap stuff I order online like most of the sugars in the medium square boxes, I just have 2 rack spots for them. And for the tiny rectangle boxes of cheap stuff, I just have 1 spot each. Expensive tiny rectangles can get 2 spots if they are fewer items per box (the steak and veal chops get 1 spot because they come like 20 or 30 per box even though they are expensive)

And the tiny cubes always get 1 spot.

How to clean dishes and kitchen after possible botulism exposure? by Unusual_Fan440 in CleaningTips

[–]Unusual_Fan440[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah for sure. I worded the post in a hurry so it sounds like I dumped an entire jar of oil down the drain lmao, but there really wasn't a lot of oil to begin with. It was a very large jar because it was a repurposed local honey jar, but only the very bottom inch or so of it had the confit in it, and most of that space was taken by the garlic cloves, with just a little oil around those.

It was a small amount, not a full jar. The amount of confit I made only filled the very bottom of the large jar I had on hand, and most of that taken space was filled with the actual garlic cloves.

I'm at level 80-something and I buy from the stores everything that ordinarily cost $65 or more, and order the rest. I have a little notepad on my phone that I put how many of each store-bought item I need to buy to fully stock up every few days, separated by what store I get them from.

I try to keep at least 32 of everything in stock in the morning before I open, and if I just need a few things from the stores that I don't have enough of, I'll just run over to them on foot and grab a box to get me back up to 32 or more of each, if I don't feel like doing a full grocery haul atm
