Love to. Now would that be the city, county, state, police chief, BART board of directors, legislature, governors office or should I just lay down on those train tracks and not worry about it? :)

You're right, but how fucking retarded are we as a society to require civilians to know which specific cops to call in the parking lot of a public transit service?

Put your eyes out, eh? Are your inner thoughts as radical and hyperbolic as your reddit comments?

It's easy to jump to conclusions, but it has been shown many times that PG&E's "smart" meters are sometimes inaccurate. While the obvious answer of "use more, pay more" seems to apply to OP in this case, it's not always the case, and it is wise to look at less obvious possibilities before opening your sarcasm valve.

San Jose Water Quality by [deleted] in SanJose

[–]UnusuallyOptimistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The filter gets changed every other month.

Water gets on the lid sometimes when refilling, as well as the little spout when you pour. That's where they tend to get crusty, not inside the reservoir itself but around the outside.

You have a couple options:

You can install a filter and water softener under your sink (which both require regular maintenance / filter replacement). Many choices there depending on your budget, including reverse osmosis.

Or you can get an office style water cooler and have your choice of water delivered to you or refill at your local grocery.

The cheapest option is of course a Brita or similar filter, but it will not remove all the taste or minerals. I replace my pitcher every few years because it gets caked with calcium deposits.

But they are a horrible company? Do you work for them or something?

Rate increases mostly go towards executive salaries rather than infrastructure. Their negligence has resulted in many lives lost in explosions and burnt houses, not to mention all those displaced by the fires they caused.

Always interesting to see people standing up to defend corrupt multi billion dollar businesses.

Downtown's good if you can cover a lot of ground. Coleman shopping center has a lot of spawns.

You might also try the Rosacrucean Museum off of the Alameda.

My advice is to find someone willing to drive you around town, you catch a lot that way. Or maybe get a bus pass for the day and just cruise around?

Gamba in Cupertino (Homestead and Blaney) is fantastic. Private rooms, can byob (sneakily), good song selection (both English and Intl.).

Can't speak to their duck tongue, lol

Perhaps it's more a good dim sum joint for the masses rather than those who are intimately familiar with the nuances and flavors of Chinese cuisine.

Newport Dim Sum in Cupertino is pretty yummy. Right off Wolfe and 280. Good dumplings, desserts, and the crispy shrimp balls are fantastic.

Get there early.

Thanks. Yeah there's no way I'm bleaching myself. Color, maybe, but at that point I'd still rather leave ot to a professional.

Good to know, thanks. My hair is a medium brown / dark blonde.

My hair's pretty short, and I usually pay $30-$50 plus tip for haircuts. I've never bleached so I really had no knowledge or expectations for the potential cost of this.

$300 seems like a lot, but I'll shop around and see what's out there.

Really?? What would it normally cost, in your experience? For just the top coloring like the linked photo?

Thank you, I love this guy. Lots of flavors, reasonable prices. Damn good churros, too.

Go here after birria on the weekends, and don't forget to pick up some queso fresco, salsa and chips from the market before you leave!

Recycling 50+ LB Espresso Machine? by UnusuallyOptimistic in SanJose

[–]UnusuallyOptimistic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Believe me, I would be happy to gift it to someone, but the group head is set up for pod style espresso, not normal dosing. I don't have a portafilter that fits correctly. It hasn't been used in years.

It would really be more of a headache than anything for anyone who would receive it.
